My only criticism would be that the straps aren't very long which keep babies secure. He can sit in it comfortably, even pulling himself up to sitting without it tipping forward like a bouncer does. It also appears to be very comfortable as he's already fallen asleep in it a couple of times. The fold down is really only the hood part which doesn't fold down completely but just into a more \"reclined\" position. Maybe it was me, but I thought it would fold down completely flat. However the legs don't fold down at all which means it's still high, if you want to put it into the car. I've knocked a star off for this, however for a larger baby (can't talk about a newborn) it is great and much more sturdy that a standard bouncy chair. It's well made, I like the colours and the baby likes it, which frees me up from holding. We ditched the idea of the typical metal framed bouncy chair and went for this.It’s sturdy but lightweight, durable and cleanable, functions well as a stable chair or a rocker.One disadvantage is the vibration on it.
