Top Notch 85mm Macro Lens
This is an excellent macro lens and a real bargain for the money. As a macro lens, it is capable of 150% magnification and is crystal clear. I am including a photo I took of a leaf with available light and this lens. As a “Normal” 85mm lens, it is superb and tack sharp. My version has a Nikon Z mount. This lens is available with mounts for other cameras.

Good lens for the price
The lens offers many manual adjustments which works great for still photos. Overall takes a great photo and pleased with adding this to my lens inventory.

Great lens
I am new to macro photography and this is my first macro lens. That said, I really love this lens. I love that you can get 1.5 magnification. It does not have an automatic focus function, which could be complicated for some. And it has been a little difficult to adjust to such a narrow depth of field, but that has nothing to do with the lens itself. Overall, I would recommend.

This lens did not work out for me and my Nikon z50
I bought this for my Z 50 for very close close-ups and normal telephoto work. I found that I could not handhold it because neither it nor the camera have vibration reduction and I’m getting older. It is very heavy and really is a tripod only ones, for me anyway.

Excellent Macro lens with two rings for focusing, one for further distances and one for close.
My nikon automatically adjusts the sensitivity, after I adjust time and f stops. Excellent pictures for real close ups.

Not a win-win situation
The good:1. This lens does indeed allow an unrivalled 1.5:1 magnification.2. It is well built.3. It is reasonably sharp. The bad:1. The mounting aligning dot is where it used to be on the F-mount version. Now that the lens has been extended, to account for the shorter flange distance of the Z-mount, the dot is too far from the lens mount.2. The aperture ring has no clicks.3. The aperture ring is both narrow and recessed, making it hard to use.4. The lens is nowhere near the sharpness of the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR. So, you get better pictures by using the Nikon lens at a 1:1 magnification then cropping to match the Meike lens' 1.5:1 magnification.
