I love my first digital-analog watch !
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a certain watch that is both digital and analog. The analog with the 3rd hand for seconds and the digital for date and time too. And I found this one which is exactly what I needed and it is simple, functional, and not bulky. The digital display is crystal clear with right amount of crisp, u won’t have to struggle in finding the right angle to read the time and date. It also gives an option “city mode” w/c is an analog display only that makes it more classy and illumination are great! And for the other feature like temp. it might need to be calibrated first :)

Nice watch, usable features, light weight.
Very nice watch. Comfortable even with the factory strap. Light weight. Perfectly legible dial and digital display. Nice backlighting. Can do dual time zones. Great looking watch that seems very durable. Thumbs up.

Very impressed
Been a fan of Nixon watches but its a been a minute since I've had one. The Ripley does not dissappoint. Truly a gorgeous watch. Even my dog loves it. Its a big piece and you would expect it to weigh a ton but it is very lightweight. Havent read the instructions to zero out the altimeter and I think the thermometer function would be effected by your body temp. That being said, I cant stop looking at this watch. Peeps stopping me at the vet and in Home Depot to ask me about it. Love it!

had potential but failed
I really wanted to like this watch. Some of the features are exactly what I wanted: digital + analog with a seconds hand, alarm, back light, and supposedly durable. I have had the watch for a year and it officially stopped working. I have a blue collar job, nothing that is too rough on watches, and the digital screen damages so easily. For $150, I expected this watch to last! I'm hoping Nixon reaches out to rectify this

Nixon - Ripley - 5 Star Rating
I would give this watch a 5 star. It is easy to read has dual time, altimeter, temperature, chronograph and very nice back lighting. It is very light on your arm and is as advertised. Highly recommend!! I would definitely buy again..

The Watch's reputation precedes it.
I'm a watch guy. All of my watches server some function the others don't, even if it's an admitted vintage something. The Ripley has a nice set of toys to list after, but only if you need them. Climb, hike, get to you really need the altimeter, thermometer, compass? Then this is an interesting choice. I no longer need that equipment on my watch. To get a decent shit at the temperature, you remove the watch, place it on a flat surface for about 15 minutes, and give it a look. I just don't need a thermometer that badly. Do you? The gesture that hooked me, was the ability to turn the digital info on the watch gave off, then looking simply analog. That's right, I thought there might be a time when I want to turn the digital characters in the background off so that people wouldn't know they were there. Sigh. I decided that if I, or anyone really cares that much about this watches "City Mode" - strictly analog), then you need to think about the weight you put on others opinions. The chronometers are great, I have in on other watches. The night light is when the digital Data in the background illuminates with the push of a button, unfortunately it's so dim that I really had to squint when viewing the watch in darkness. It looks good, feels good, and Nixon had the sense to put the crown on the left, so meeting of a doorway and the crown on your watch won't be the end of your watch. Bottom line: it's a cool toy that I just can't justify spending another couple hundred bucks on.I don't NEED this watch. Ask yourself the same question.
