Mary Gliding Cradle in Espresso

this is a beautiful cradle! i'm not due for another 3 weeks but so far it's lovely. there were a couple of knicks in the wood but very small. they could have used a more appealing color for the plastic locking handle for a better aesthetic. the instructions were ok & i put it together w/in 30 min. the bottom flat board was a little tight getting it in & i needed a little help with that part. overall, very nice & i cannot wait to use!

I cannot even express how happy I am with this product. For our First two children I had the First Years 3 in 1 Carry Me Near Bassinet. This was a great bassinet, but the electronics broke and some of the wheels had been lost over time. When looking for a new Bassinet / Cradle I wanted something of heirloom quality. I love the idea that this cradle had a glide to it vs. the traditional rocking feet. With a two year old running around, I was worried he might try to tip the rocking cradles over. But with the gliding, it put all my fears to rest. The glider does have a lock so it can be stationary.As for putting this together, the directions are a bit fuzzy and do take a bit of detective work. But it only took us about an hour or so to put it together.Also, traditional bassinet sheets do not fit the mattress very well. As for the mattress, it is only about an inch thick, if you want something thicker you will have to order it. But it is suffifient for an infant considering the risk of SIDs with more enclosed beds.My husband and I are very pleased with our purchase and cannot wait for the first night our little one gets to sleep in it, and the next little one, and maybe the one after that too. And hopefully our grandkids.

Frist I want to say how super excited I was when my new cradlearrived it was shipped on Monday and on my door step frist thing Wednesday morning. I had been searching for weeks for a baby bed either bassinet or cradle I had found one but the reviews detered my choice. So when my DH opened the box I was a little worried wondering "am I really going to like this". The direction sheet was a little confusing but if your used to putting things together its a snap to figure out. It is just amazing, very sturdy. It has supports on the bottom for extra stabilty of the mattress and baby. The knob that locks and unlocks it from rocking are easy to use and don't take away from appearance. Its a little heavy but you want that so you know it will last a long time. It slides great on carpet. I believe this is a piece that will go in the attic after use and be used many times over.

I was excited to receive this cradle for my baby girl who's due in November. My hubby was out of town for work so I decided to assemble the cradle myself. It was very easy to assemble, it's sturdy and looks great in my room. I can't wait to use it!
