Why does this product have a Prop 65 warning??

That's probably a California requirement, possibly because it could in theory fall on you if you are hovering underneath where it unfolds to.(Ours is on the wall nest to the dryer- if a child is lying down on top of the dryer and release the clasp holding it up, the ironing board could come down on him.her.) Just guessing.

Does it glad to be wall mounted or will command wall hanging strips work?

The ironing board needs to be wall mounted. My husband mounted it, and says he does not think command wall hanging strips will be strong enough to hold it in place, particularly when actually ironing. I will say, however, that this is a very handy item to have. I have it hanging in my walk-in closet, and it is very useful. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
