The description says light weight, high-quality aluminum. is the pole made of aluminum too, or just the rake?

The pole is a combination of plastic and aluminum. I was looking for something that was very long. When extended, it is very awkward. When collapsed, it is heavy. Based on my arm strength and patience, I should have ordered the shortest version. Which would have had the least weight and be less awkward.

Can it be used to pull spanish moss from oak trees?

It is a rake on the end of an extension pole. I use mine to get pine needles off of a tile roof. I don’t know why you couldn’t pull moss it.
