Glad they sell a replacement! - Works well initially
Cardo tells you to buy a new unit when the battery doesn't work anymore. That's some grade A corporate BS.I'm really glad someone sells replacement batteries. Cardo units are well made and can last way longer than a battery.I replaced the battery in a Packtalk Black I bought used. It had pretty short battery life and needed replacement.Installation isn't too difficult if you've worked on electronics before. If it's your first time, go very slowly and carefully. You'll need a soldering iron, a Torx T6 driver, wire strippers, a razer, and a flat blade screwdriver. Liquid electrical tape is very handy, but not necessary. The battery fit well, but the wires are much thicker than the original ones.I cut the new wires very short (about 1/2") and kept as much of the original as I could. This saved some space. After soldering, I covered the exposed area with liquid electrical tape. This saved some space over shrink tube or electrical tape. It's working great after reassembling it!The battery seems to provide many hours of use. I haven't used it enough to know exactly how long, but it seems like more than enough for a full day of riding.

Not that much better, YMMV
My Packtalk Bold battery was barely managing a couple of hours before it started the low battery beep and would be drained after about 3 hours. I replaced the old, swollen, battery with this one but, frankly, it’s not that much better. My primary use is DMC with my ride friend, not nav directions, radio or music. It beeped 2-3 hours into my ride so I boosted it for about 30 minutes over lunch, it was completely dead by the time I rode the 3.5 hour return journey home.

First impressions are positive.
I can't vouch for the long-term reliability of this battery since I just got it, but based on the packaging and information that came with it and the fit it looks very high quality. My old 17-in MacBook pro looks like it'll run about 2 hours on this battery which is as good as it ever did.

Huge improvement for my Cardo.
My Packtalk Bold was dying about half way through the day. It was really a problem on long multi day trips. After sweeping in this battery I can go more than one day before needing to charge. Massive improvement!

Just Fits Cardo Packtalk.
Purchased for my nearly 4 year old Cardo Packtalk. This looks to be a quality battery and it fits, however the wires on this battery are a heavier gage than the original OEM battery making it more difficult to install as space is really limited. It took a few tries positioning the wires but eventually got the back shell to close without interference. You’ll need a T6 (tiny) torx to remove the screws and a very fine tip soldering iron.

Seems to work well
Used it to replace dead battery on a Cardo unit. Initial charge went without issue, discharge time seemed to be very comparably to the original battery when new. Only time will tell for sure.
