I was looking for a laptop stand that allowed me to use my laptop as a desktop replacement. This stand is simple, nice looking, functional and contrary to a review I read, stable. I suppose, there might be a laptop with a super slippery bottom that might allow the laptop to fall if it is bumped by accident, but honestly it is hard for me to envision any laptop falling or sliding off the stand on it's own. I am currently using the stand with my Sony Vaio 15.6" laptop. In any case, let me return to my review: 1. The stand lifts the laptop monitor up to a height that is the perfect height for me.. the top of the monitor is just below eye level. 2. The design of the stand allows it to not have any side rails so that any keyboard, no matter what size, can be stored under the laptop freeing up the maximum desk space when the laptop is not in use. 3. The stand is very sturdy and stable. The stand has a very slight angle forward to counter-balance the monitor screen and expose the laptop keyboard to the user. The high quality rubber on the solid metal bracing provides a sturdy and stable base for the laptop. As I stated earlier, I can't imagine this falling or slipping off the stand unless the table is not stable or if it is accidentally knocked off or yanked off by a cable, but this is true of most stands. There are plastic little tabs that stick up on the front of the stands for a super slippery laptop with a near zero frictional coefficient. ;) 4. The laptop stand looks cool. The laptop floats in the air. I have a cable that connects to the second monitor and a USB cable for additional storage, but other than that the stand, laptop, second monitor, wireless keyboard, and wireless mouse create a very functional, cool looking, and clean desktop. I shopped for a long time for this stand and am very pleased with it. Oh, the amazon price was substantially lower than what I saw this stand for elsewhere (or even with other vendors on Amazon.) I got this to use with my Macbook pro, and it works perfectly. It comes in three pieces - two arms and one base piece. There are also little tabs that slip on the ends of the arms to keep your computer from sliding off. However, these are hardly needed because there is a nice rubber grip along the full length of the arms. Assembly is easy, and the stand can also be very conveniently pack up. I've moved my office a couple times since making this purchase, and they have been vey easy to pack up. Really great product. It is sleek and sturdy, and provides me with a little extra room underneath as well. I've been using this to prop up my Macbook and set it alongside my external monitor, and I have absolutely not complaints. I would highly recommend this.

I ordered the Griffin Laptop stand to elevate my 15" MacBook Pro next to my external monitor. It makes it significantly easier to do video editing on two screens when they're actually side by side. Considering the price, I was a little nervous about what the quality of the stand might be. Surprisingly, it's a very high quality stand in my opinion. It's made out of quality material, it is very sturdy, and it has guards on the end to secure the laptop a little more. It fits my 15" very nicely, it might be a little small for 17", and it matches the style of the Macbook wonderfully. The way it's elevated, it allows for me to place a couple of textbooks, a reading book, and a Kindle all underneath it in a very neat and organized way. So, here's what's good about this product: The Griffin laptop stand seems like a high quality, sturdy stand to me that also looks really nice. It has a "minimalistic" look to it (which I absolutely love), and it also has some grips on the end to help hold your laptop in place. The way it's built to elevate the laptop, it leaves a small storage area for a couple of textbooks underneath. It's also a breeze to assemble (more on this below though). What could make it better: Like I said this is a great product, but there are some areas where it could be improved. For one, the grip on the two metal strips could be a little stronger. They're not very "grippy". If it weren't for the guards on the end, I would be a little worried about the laptop falling off. Thinking back to the assembly, I think a little more support would make it more "secure" in a way. As it stands, you just slide them into place. Maybe adding a couple of screws would help this. Well, there you have it. It's a great stylish stand that's easy to assemble and fairly sturdy. It's definitely a great stand for the price.

Arrived in very easy-to-open packaging with only a few parts to put together. Assembly is super easy - the top bars slide into the support bars, and two small plastic clips snap onto the end of them. The entire thing was put together in less than 2 minutes, and ready to go. The stand is very light, but also very sturdy. I completely trust it to hold my MacBook Pro. The open design is nice if you want to store anything in the space below your laptop, though I like keeping it open for a cleaner look. There are rubber-like strips that run along the top bars, and these keep your laptop from moving around once it's set on top. Even if it did slide (which it won't), the clips at the end rise up just far enough to stop the laptop from coming off the stand. Very happy with this product, especially considering its price compared to others out there.

Great stand, lifts the laptop to a perfect height to be beside my monitor and makes for a perfect dual screen set up. Style - If your laptop is silver this will look great. The simple look of silver and clear plastic makes for a very clean desk set up and the for factor allows you to put stuff like books, files, etc under the laptop, freeing up even more space on the desk. Functionality - Supports my 13" laptop perfectly, and in the office my coworkers have the same one that supports their 15" MBPs. The grippy grey parts work as advertise. The open space on the bottom also allows for better air circulation so that's a huge plus. (I used to stack my laptop on top of books, and let's just say things got loud under there) Height - It brings up your laptop screen about 6" off the base of the desk (See photos). Puts it right in the sweet spot beside my 22 inch monitor. Price - Okay it is kind of expensive, compared to my previous solution of textbooks, but it looks good, adds to a very clean desk, and will transcend any one laptop, it'll probably be functional until laptops are obsolete. I mean, I can always sell it to someone else? Overall, the look and functionality of this stand makes it worthwhile, expensive, but I'd buy this again if it was required for my new office, no regrets.
