Fox Run Mushroom and Egg Slicer, Cast Aluminum,Silver

After using a wire egg cutter and a simple knife to slice mushrooms, I decided I wanted something faster and more substantial. This fits the bill and then some. This cutter is strong and consistent - enough where you must point it downward while cutting so that the mushroom slices fall onto the plate and don't go flying through the air. Mushrooms are not crushed but actually force their way through the rather tall blades, resulting in meaty even slices. There is no sign of this cutter slowing down and it works in seconds. Cleanup is easy. Rinse, shake, pat, leave to air dry. If pieces cling to the blades, pinch a paper towel and wipe. The cutter even looks great. It blends in with my stainless cookware perfectly. A device this well made and straightforward is hard to come by. Highly recommended for anyone who likes their mushrooms and cutting them efficiently.

I love these cutters! I use them on eggs, strawberries, etc... be cautious with using they are still fragile.

I bought this to easily slice mushrooms and strawberries. This works well for smaller items; some mushrooms and strawberries are too large.

This is perfect for egg slicing or dicing.

No complaints with the function or results whatsoever. Wholly regretful I ran it through the Dishwasher. Ruined the finish. The high temp water broke down the finish 1st run to where everything it comes into contact with leaves dark aluminum traces from the finish just being compromised. Wrote my name with it on a cardboard box after seeing how much transfer was coming off as I tried to wipe the residue clean with a paper towel. It's first use was amazing though! Absolutely better than wire slicers hands down, however the damage I did to it has left quite the sour taste in my mind towards the cleanup side of things. So much so that I'm not willing to gamble on a replacement. I'll settle for the dishwasher safe wire cutters going forward. So disappointing.

I really like this product. I use it to slice mushrooms. I like the even slices it gives,but you will need to cut larger mushrooms in half or in quarters to fit appropriately in the device. It slices them quickly I cook more with mushrooms with this device. I also use it to slice olives for salads which works great. The locking mechanism makes it easy to store. I had a wire slicer which broke after 2 mushrooms. This has lasted more than 6 months and still going strong.

I got this to cut strawberries for food processing and freeze drying and it does work however it can be a little messy on some of them same with the eggs. It’s very high quality and heavier duty so that’s good. The only thing I don’t like is that the things that you cut with doesn’t seem to be as Sharp as it should be to cut through stuff so sometimes you get a mess and squished product.

Very good egg slicer with a lock that works.Made in aluminum it does not look that good, but it works and the price is a steal. Easier to clean than my proud one and sturdy, very sturdy! At least this one will last!
