Bumblebee Door Knocker - Brass (Standard Size)

We had the "normal" door knocker and wanted to replace it with something unique & fun... but it also had to be quality and fit the style. Initially was looking for something black - but they all seemed to be the same... and kind of boring. Saw this bee one... was initially hesitant due to the price - but, I have to say I love it! It was worth the money - mainly because if it's quality and look. We bought the larger one. Looking at others online, this was the nicest design. Some other ones you can't even make out what it is... looks like a blob. We are very happy with this doorknocker and it was easy to install (which is a plus).

Heavy duty and easy to mount, solid brass so it's a very healthy weight and knocks very well. Looks amazing, really the pictures hardly do it justice. It's bigger than it looks in the pictures, perfect size.

I had my eye on this door knocker for 7 months after I moved into my new house. It was just expensive enough to feel too indulgent, so I put the purchase off. That is, until I got a very kind bonus from my boss on a project. I used a portion of it to buy this little guy, and I have to say — I wish I hadn't waited! So if you are like me and it feels too indulgent, just buy it. You won't regret it. It is ART. If functions too, of course. But I bought this because I wanted a statement at my door. It is exactly that. It's not so large that its silly. It's a healthy weight and the refined design makes it a sophisticated piece. I get compliments and "where did you get this" from nearly everyone that steps through my front door. Photos attached, colors are different (on the door) between pictures because some pictures have more daylight than others, but the bee itself is pretty accurate across all.

This bumblebee door knocker is lovely. The oil rubbed bronze finish matches our existing door hardware. It's heavy weight and came neatly packaged inside of a branded bag and box. I highly recommend this seller and his designs.

I mean what more could you expect. It's a big fat bee you hang on your door. It's a doorbee! Sure, nobody uses a doorknocker anymore, but who cares. THIS IS A BEE. If your door is lacking in bee-related goods, this item is something you can use to remediate your issues. Depending on the percentage of decorative items that feature a bee in your home, you may or may not want to think about how you've structured your purchases. You need to ask yourself--what [in this house] features a bee? If the answer is nothing, then I think you know what you need to do. Look deep into your soul and if there is a bee there, ask it a question--should I get a bee doorknocker? i think your inner bee will answer a resounding "YES". It might also sting you. Bees do that. However, this bee doorknocker will NOT sting you as it is not actually a real bee. I mean, if you set up an Audrino with a bluetooth and a wifi, added a servo with a pin and attached the whole affair to a small LiPo battery pack you may be able to create a version of this doorknocker that does indeed sting. However, this would be an unkind act for which your neighbors would, righteously so, take offense of. "Oh, there's that guy with the bee doorknocker that ACTUALLY stings when you use it. He's so strange, I don't understand why he has that thing, nor do I understand why he has a pet capybara that he trained to leer at everyone." Also, if you own an apiary, you are required by commonlaw statue to own this doorknocker. If you don't do so the local constable will send a woman with a wheelbarrow to steal your bees and the woman that steals them will hiss and vocalize rudely at you from the treelawn upon completion of her thievery. She will not steal the doorknocker as it is presumed that you don't have one, she will get the real bees. Then where would you get your honey? The hissing woman will have all of your honey and she will sass you as she eats great gobs of it with her bare hands as she sits in her wheelbarrow. She fears not the bees. In summary, I like this doorknocker, you should get one.

Dude! I found this adorable little guy on my friend's neighbors front door and was so obsessed with him I actually asked the neighbor if I could buy it off them! They sent me the link for this and I couldn't buy mine fast enough! I adore it with all of my heart hahaha! He is perfect
