Hello Rebecca, There have been reports of bunching and gathering when there is not enough room for the comforter to move around in a Standard Washer/Dryer. It is recommended a Large Capacity Washer/Dryer such as a Laundromat be used when washing/drying to allow the comforter enough free movement. Sincerely, JLA-Home
