Kicker SF150C09 Powered Subwoofer Upgrade Kit For 2009-2014 Ford F-150 Super Crew

I’ve had this sub for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. I had it in my 2013 F150 FX4 (which came with the Sony sound system as stock) until recently when I got a 2012 F150 XLT and put it in there (that did NOT come with the Sony sound system). It plugged and bolted right in both times and has an incredible sound/kick to it. I understand that for the money (and if you knew how to do it all yourself) you could probably get a much heavier hitting set up, but when it comes to the easiness of the install, the fact that it fits right under the seat, barely losing any storage space, and the bass quality you get from it there is no better alternative. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone that has an F150 in this body style.Side Note: for my new truck, the XLT, the wiring did NOT match the instructions perfectly (which I knew ahead of time because, as I previously said, this sub was originally in a truck with the Sony sound system. The wires not matching for my XLT is NOT the fault of the manufacturer). The instructions mention a twisted pair of wires that are white with orange stripe and white with purple stripe. If your truck does not have a Sony system as stock, these twisted wires will not be in the bundle mentioned/shown in the instructions, however, they are in the bundle that comes in behind the fuse box on the passenger side. If you use those wires in that bundle, the sub will work just the same.

I'd been wanting to buy this for years and finally pulled the trigger. I put MT tires on my truck, so with the road noise my base got drowned out on the highway with the factory premium Sony system. First of all, I read many reviews on other sites so I knew what I was getting as far as bass quality. I'm a ex bass head that had high end systems back in the day and I'm aware for $700 you could put in something much louder, but nothing can provide the awesome sound, ease of installation, and concealed look. It's plenty loud and has a VERY hard hitting sound. It's not super deep, but does the trick when listening to rap. Typical 10" sub sound. I would highly recommend this sub, but expect to scratch your head at the instructions! It took me a little over an hour to install.

Awesome upgrade to the Sony system with 8"sub in my 2013 ford f-150 raptor... Install was pretty easy, hardest part was passing wires through the grommet in the firewall... Definitely what the factory system was missing! The review above that said it hits 4 tiles harder than the Sony sup is very accurate... Not one complaint!

This upgrade to my F150 Platinum is way beyond expectation. Easy to install and sounds great.Would definitely recommend this upgrade, recommended to a friend at work already.

2014 f150 with the Sony premium sound. Yes this works just unplug the factory sub hide the wires. Then run the supplied harness to battery and tap into rh speaker and done. Did it in about an hour.

I was charged a $140.00 restocking fee, despite the fact that the description doesn’t say this powered sub only works with the factory radio.

The wire harness does not match up to the wires provided.

Very impressed with the sound. Muchore bass than I ever expected. Only thing I had an "issue" with was the capture nuts that go in the holes in the floor. I just put nuts and bolts on the front 2 and a self tapper on the rear. Best quality subwoofer kit I have ever seen. Very well thought out and high quality components. Connecters, clips and the harnesses are better made than most oem. Best product I've bought in years.
