Like another reviewer, these are pretty decent replacements from the typical LED ceiling lights typically installed in KB homes. The inner material is made out of hard plastic, while the outer rim is painted white metal. Overall, a solid piece of lighting. However, there are some difference between the KB home typical seagull lighting: * The bezel around the lighting is much smaller than seagull lighting, so it's going to be smaller after replacing. If you're replacing a LED, most likely you'll need to replace them all to match (or one of them is going to look much smaller). * The white coloring is slightly whiter than the seagull lighting. However, it's quite unnoticeable once installed on the ceiling. I did not test how well it dimmed since I was replacing a simple LED light with a switch. None of this detracts from that this LED light is solid and I had no problems installing/replacing an older LED light.

Works as described, well made: metal and plastic. Easy to set up as a regular ceiling lamp. No flickering.

This purchase was a great buy. I was happy to find lights with a daylight color temperature in a large value pack. With just wire cutters and strippers these were really easy to install, less than 5 minutes per fixture. I've had trouble in the past with other brands coming loose, these seem to stay snugly in place. They light quality is good, they are bright and can be dimmed.

The lights are plenty bright - i use them on my back porch. Easy to install. Only issue is 2 of the lights were missing the hardware necessary to install them. I contacted the company, but after 3 days - got no response and since I had already install 8 of them, I did not want to take them down to do a return (return required I return all of them). Here's hoping I hear from customer support.

We purchased two of these lighting units to solve a problem remodeling a basement room for a home theater. We needed the ceiling lights to be flush with the ceiling so that nothing would be in the way of the projector beam. These units mount into an ordinary junction box, but when installed look like recessed can lights. This is a great idea -- the ability to take any ceiling junction box and give it the appearance of a ceiling can light, flush with the ceiling. This lighting unit produces just the right amount of light and has a reasonably warm color (it is about 3000k but it looks almost as warm as 2700k). It was easy to install, looks nice, and provided the desired solution. After seeing these units, we would never install traditional can lights anywhere else... we wpuld just use a junction box and one of these thin units which are much easier to install, and result in looking the same. It's a good product to know about!

Product is fine but not of great quality. I had to return the fixtures because they didn't suit my need. Opted for a different alternative.

This light works well and puts out a good amount of lumens for the laundry closet that we were renovating. It fits flush to the ceiling and a handy mounting plate is also provided for varying sizes of junction boxes. However, the trim ring is made of very flimsy metal and is easily bent if dropped which could affect the appearance and how well it seats to the surface. The high price point does not reflect the quality of the product and it certainly is apparent when you take it out of the box.
