Helmet liner
I used cooling helmet liner as a doo-rag on motorcycle. Fits great. Item is double stitched, very well done. I will be ordering more.

Great heat shield!
I am actually surprised how well this works. Let me explain: I live in the desert, where it averages 106 F in the summer (well, in this first month so far anyway... it gets worse as we get into August). I ride my bike at lunch because snakes are out during the cooler parts of the day. Too hot at noon even for them if you can believe it. Well, the combination of extreme, direct sun (2300 ft altitude btw) and dry air makes for a potentially dangerous environment to be exercising in, but I have always contended that with appropriate gear, it shouldnโt be an issue. I thought I might have met my match though, when I found myself in trouble for the first time out there in the heat. Although, it didnโt seem to be the heat so much as the direct, inescapable sun. Even with a white helmet on (has vent holes), I just need to NOT have the sun beating down on my head. I wanted anything... an umbrella, a floppy hat... something. I even had 2 bottles of ice cold propel to drink. No good. The next day, I tried occasionally pouring ice cold water on myself as I rode, but when humidity is barely 10%, that isnโt so effective. My husband suggested a helmet liner. Bah! How could that possibly help? I already wore a rolled up bandanna for sweat...isnโt that all a liner is good for? Well, after failing to find another solution, I caved...what could it hurt to try in any case...especially since the bandannas were a massive PITA to use? I bought white since I figured any additional reflection would be beneficial. HOLY DOG! I actually had to check the temperature during my ride... supposedly it was 102, but I was sure it must have only been 92. I never once got that... โoops... I might have overestimated my ability to go the distance in this heatโ moment. Nope it was 102. I tried it a second day... same result. In fact, I wasnโt guzzling as much water as I usually do either. I am still amazed at this result. I mean, it isnโt like my head wasnโt already mostly covered by my helmet... So...I just bought two more.. at this price, you canโt beat it. Additional comments: I have my hair in a ponytail that I tuck in the hole between helmet and head strap/ tightener thingy, and this didnโt impede that It was light light to be unnoticeable, but also wicked sweat better than my bandanna. Simply amazing. I highly recommend.

Awesome comfort and cooling, but the slippery ties come loose.
I bought these cooling skull caps to use as a hard hat liner for work, and they do a fantastic job of keeping me cool on hot days while keeping my hair completely out of the way. The comfort level is awesome, and the fabric feels really nice against your skin without rubbing or irritating your forehead when strapped under a hard hat for hours. The fabric breaths well and wicks away sweet from my forehead. The color options are great too and look exactly as advertised. The stretchy fabric holds up well to repeated washing with my work clothes with no special washing cycles. The only reason I am deducting one star is due to the ties in the back. The material used is quite slick, and because the fabric is slippery, it has a tendency to slide right out of a standard knot. On top of that, the ties themselves are slightly too short, which makes getting a tight grip a bit tricky. When you go to tie it in the back, it constantly comes loose on its own unless you explicitly double knot it to lock it into place. I recently added a safety pen to lock the knot in a comfortable tightness around my head. The safety pen is already starting to show wear on the ties from repeated piercing of the knots. Durability may cause replacement do to me locking the knot into place but for the price, I already have a few backups and will continue to use this liner. Once you double knot it and pen it, it stays secure and does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you don't mind taking an extra step to tie a double knot and pen it, these are a super comfortable and effective way to beat the heat under a hard hat!

Way, way too small!
These are ridiculously small. Granted there were no dimensions stated in the description, so maybe I can't complain. My head is not large, and these don't come close to fitting. I'd give them away, but I'd be embarrassed to, given the laughable size. Trash, I guess.

Great sun protection, Easy to put on.
Most helmets have ventilation whih allows the sun through and being bald this is a bad thing. I find that these skull caps/helmet liners do a great job keeping those rays from burning my scalp.
