What to use oh what to use?? The best for high end leather and colored leather
The stuff works great! I use it on my light tan ( brown ) buffalo hide motorcycle leathers ( chapps and coat) I am always worried that the color will change. This products doesn't do that. They get darker during the application phase but after a day of drying they fad right back to the original color. The leather looks the same as when it purchased. When using always try to apply in a linear motion not circular ( thats what the web page says. However I think that happens when you use their sister product Urad TLC...Urad TLC has carnauba wax in it for a light water proofing ( I am guessing ) and when dried it could dry a circular pattern in the leather. I tried all directions of application with Urad tenderly and it didn't dry in any kind of pattern. I put the first coat on lightly, let it soak in for 24 hours and then applied another heavier coating and let that dry and it worked great. I do recommend buying at least three jars... it does go along way BUT they are only 5 oz. units and if you have a lot of leather and its dry open poor then it will soak up a lot. Tenderly is for leather like suede and other soft textured or poured leathers. So another wards, take your classic black sooth ( no texture to the tough ) closed poured leather biker coat, it does well with the Urad TLC, where as my brown open poured ( the very slightest hint of a fussy feeling texture ) leather coat needs Urad tenderly. I hope this helps. I had a hard time trying to decide what to use on my leather and did a lot of research. Its a great product for any color of leather and works well. It doesn't make leather waterproof like rain gear but it does preserve it so when it does get wet, you stay some what dry and the leather survives just fine through all kinds of trauma.

Good stuff.
Been using this stuff for over a decade after initially buying it at a state fair. It works well, dries quickly, and gives you nice conditioning. Not a substitute for a good shoe polishing, but works great on leather jackets and softer leathers like lambskin. It is milky white in the jar, but goes on clear. Doesnt really "shine" your shoes, but really conditions the leather nicely and makes it look rich and supple. A little goes a long way, so a jar can last a while.

Gives leather that Napa Leather feel.
I really like this stuff because, it makes dried out leather jackets feel like Napa, glove leather. I'm not sure how it works but just a small amount seems to make older leather jackets increase in weight like when they were new. Strange but good. When I have used this in the past, the results are long lasting. I treated an old dried out leather coat 5 years ago with this stuff. After all that time, it still feels like when it was new. Good Stuff.

Expensive junk. Avoid!
Used this junk on a new leather jacket to soften the leather.Next wearing, I noticed blotches all over it where I had used Tenderly. I’m trying to get those off.Can not tell any softening of the jacket.DON’T BUY!!!

It works great and doesn't affect color
This stuff is really awesome. I bought a pair of Allen Edmonds two years ago and have only put some wax on them once in a while. I've taken pretty poor care of them and so there are some pretty big creases and they were just about to start cracking. I got some of this stuff and after about an hour, the difference was incredible. It won't make the creases or the cracks go away, but it makes the leather look so much more healthy and pliable. This stuff also doesn't affect the color, so my tan shoes still look tan. Very pleased with this product.

The leather jacket looks like new after a wash...
I used this product on a very high-end colored (purple) leather jacket. I washed the jacket with baby shampoo (can't find decent leather dry cleaner) and after the jacket was dry, I put the product on it twice. The jacket looks like new! I will be doing it again and again.

Just what I was looking for!
I bought some original "Leathermate" several years ago, and was amazed with the results. In doing my research I noticed that "Urad" is the original name of leathermate.Since Urad is not supposed to be used on lambskin, this was just what I needed.I also used this mixed with a little bit of URAD on my car seats, this left them nice and soft, but didn't leave them sticky, like URAD alone can do. It also worked good alone on suede.

It works!
I have a St Croix (made by Remy) leather coat. The finish was always fading away. The surface of the leather looked like it was dried out. Visually it was splotchy, and did not reflect the quality of coat that the HIGH price would reflect. St Croix did everything they could to make it right, and sent it back to Remy where they "treated it". This process took over 6 weeks. Got it back, and within weeks, the problem was back. St Croix assured me that Remy said there was nothing else that could be done. The leather is lambskin, very thin, and feels very luxurious. I was very concerned about using a standard leather product on it. I saw this product and the reviews and thought I would try it. It solved the dry, splotchy look. It did seem to slightly change the texture of the leather so it isn't as flexible as it was originally. but I haven't worn it much yet. I now can feel good about wearing a coat that looks good.
