They're very slick and slippery, but you can "laminate"!
We had these in our home 30 yrs ago for our kids, and they played with them everyday for years. The kids built furniture, forts, whatever they imagined. They're one of the BEST toys ever! The bricks back then had a waxy-type laminate on them that gave them grip-ability. Recently, I ordered a set of these Mondo Bloxx for a toddler friend, and I was so disappointed that they have made these without a laminated coating. These, along with others I've looked into, only have paper over cardboard, and are slick and slippery. One can't build much of anything without them slipping and sliding out from underneath themselves. Since these are very sturdy and strong, I wanted to make this work, so I googled how to laminate paper. One answer was "tape". So, I loaded a tape dispenser gun with crystal clear, non-cloudy packing tape. (First used a cloudy tape, and the blemishes showed on the brick.) While the bricks were laid flat, I "laminated" them, covering them with tape, smoothing it out with the edge of a credit card. I didn't cover the cardboard that folds inside the brick, so it was pretty quick and easy. They folded-up perfectly; they look great, and now they are laminated with SUPER grip-ability, ready to build whatever the imagination can think of, with the ability to grip together and not slip out from underneath themselves. Laminating will also solve the problem that people have reported of color rubbing off on their hands. I highly recommend these bricks once laminated. They are fabulous; your kids will have fun with them for years to come.

Best blocks out there.
We had these same blocks as kids. They survived us as kids, my children, and would probably be fine with my grandchildren, but they were given away years ago. So, I bought both my grandson and granddaughter a set of these blocks. They are easy to assemble, uniform in size and the kids took to them immediately. They were building an knocking down towers in no time. These blocks are effectively indestructible. The kids can easily stand on them without any issues. I probably could, but didn't want to try, but as I said above, the prior sets lasted for multiple generations.

If you've got room to store them, these give you a ton of bang for your buck
I just got a text from my mom with a pic of my 4yo niece playing with these blocks. I bought them for her big sister and brother six years ago! They are a little worse for the wear from being stood on, thrown around, etc., but she's still having a blast with them. I initially bought them because 1) I remembered playing with them when I was a preschooler, and if you remember a toy after 30-plus years it's probably a good one and 2) I wanted to troll my sister who had just bought a big new house. My husband and I assembled all the blocks and put them in like an appliance box or something. They were a big success on all fronts, and my sister's family even brought the blocks with them when they moved to a new house a couple years ago. In short: these blocks rock and make a big impression (though they're probably not ideal for apartment living, for example).

Just like when I was a kid!
I remembered playing with blocks like these in kindergarten and wasn't sure how my grandson (3) would like them. You get 40 good size, sturdy cardboard blocks, that are fairly simple to put together. No glue, or anything needed...just folding and tabs. My grandson loves them! His favorite thing to do is build very tall towers, with help of course, and then knock them over. He has stood on them and they hold his weight, but they are light and no fear of him injuring himself when they fall on him.

BUY THESE !
BUY THESE!!! They are super easy to assemble, did it alone in 20 minutes. Great buy since they are all large blocks no smalls. Grandson Loves them and “buelo” has fun with them too! The only thing I wish was different is they are slippery when placed on each other so stacking them is a little tricky for him, but he’s already learned to go easy when placing them so...

Sturdy and hours of fun.
Love these blocks for my grandchildren. Sturdy. I have bought blocks like this for years for my church nursery. My only disappointment with these is that they are smaller than the ones that I have bought for my church nursery. However maybe they will hold up even longer than the ones I had at church. I had two different sets at church over 20 years. That’s a pretty good track record. We are storing them in a bookcase. So hopefully we won’t have any red rub off. but it doesn’t seem like they will rub off anyway. At this point I think these are the best choice available even though they are a little bit smaller. I prefer the blocks that are all the same size anyway. Please provide hours of great fun.

Best toy ever!
This is one of my all time favorite toys. I had some kind of big blocks in kindergarten(I am in my 50's) and loved them So 22 years ago I bought some for our son. I was so disappointed as they are cardboard ! However I was wrong, they lasted years! Every child that came over played with them big kids and small. We even had a handful left for the grand kids. They wanted to play with them and we did not have enough. That is when I bought a set for the first grandson. They have had them over two years and he plays with them daily. I bought these for the next grand son and he loves them too! There are enough to build a fort and it is so fun to see where there imagination leads them!

Perfect for multiples ages!
I bought 2 sets of these for my grandsons aged 2 and 3. My own little brother had a set of these that we played with for years, and I wanted my grandsons to have something like them. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see so many of them in one box! Assembly was easy, but took a few minutes to figure out. Not all directions are there on the box. They were actually easy to put together once I figured it out. They are very sturdy. The boys have played with them almost exclusively for 3 days. Us grandparents have had fun too. I can definitely recommend these.
