Good book for Felting
Where have these guys been? The book and patterns are just what I've been looking for. They are a step up from pattern I've always used for my felted slippers.

excellent book
Can't wait to start knitting slippers! The only thing I would have liked is to have the patterns in childrens sizes as well as adult.

Just What I Was Wanting
This book is beautiful and has many patterns. They are beautiful and there’s enough patterns to make multiple sets of slippers, as well as some ideas in my head for combinations of patterns for something different. Just love this book.

A very nice book with delightful patterns.
A very nice book on slippers...felted slippers with knitted and some embroidered designs. I think I will make some for Christmas presents. This is the type of book that will be used again and again. I have show it to members of my knitting group and they all liked it andthought is was worth the purchase. The instructions and photographs are charming and instructional. Easy enough for a beginningknitter too. Thank you, Arne & Carlos for this classic book on slippers what are truely "practical" and range from cute (Rabbit slippers") to exotic.Way to go, Arne & Carlos!

Follow Directions!!
Beautiful slippers - easy to follow directions....but you must follow directions. Switching yarns back and forth sounded so tedious so tried just using double strand - did not work! Using directions as stated, I knitted small size with #10 needles (magic loop method) using Knit Picks wool. After felting - I felt by hand..tightly - I found they were a bit narrow (wear a size 6 shoe). I'll wait and see how well they stretch out - maybe next time I would use medium size for width but small size for length.

Knitter’s Delight
Love all of Arne and Carlos books! I have taken workshops with them and both make projects simple. Arne is a continental knitter ....Carlos throws. Either way I recommend all their books that include clear instructions along with great illustrations.

Pretty book, but the patterns....
I have mixed feelings about this book. I would give it a 5/5 star rating for the book's graphics...that's one of the reasons I bought this book. But I really wanted a pattern book with some great felted slippers...I bought the yarn, a set of circular needles, and launched into knitting the pattern with the high ankle style. BIG MISTAKE! After I got to the heel, everything went to heck in a handbag...after ripping out the entire hours of work, I tried to make the initial lower cut pattern...I have ripped that apart already three times, and am not making any progress...my sister, who is a very experienced knitter has had difficulty also...I would love for Arne and Carlos to rewrite the patterns so that they are complete and understandable...there a gaps in the patterns, with the possible assumption that you know intuitively what those gaps are. I REALLY want to make some of these slippers, but I am totally frustrated...

Arne & Carlos do it again - Fabulous indeed
All those of Arne & Carlos books which have so far been translated into English grace my knitting book library. This book is in the same sort of format which goes before, with lovely photographs of not just the slippers but toys from yesteryear dotted about in the shots, quirky knick knacks, Scandinavian bits and bobs. The layout follows the usual chapters of materials, basic slipper then onto chapters of different designs. The book covers 3 types of felted slippers, high cuff, short cuff and clog type slippers. You are taken through the basic slipper more or less row by row, then once you have mastered that you can dip into the various chapters on various types of slippers for example Sioux Indian slippers, Sami moccasins etc. All slipper patterns are given in 3 sizes, small (European size 34 – 38), medium (European size 38 – 42) and large (European size 42 -46) these are equated to both US and European sizes (no UK sizing, so you need to know your European equivalent, this is no big deal). The slippers are knit in the round on short circular needles or DPNS. A 2 strand method is used to give thicker cosier slippers. You can always gen up on this technique by taking a Craftsy.com knitting course online or check out you know who tube. Colour work is charted.I loved this book immediately I set eyes upon the content – having had a long wait for it to be finally released as the publish date kept shifting. There are many lovely slippers to choose from, truly something for everyone from older children to adults. The wool/yarn suggested is Norwegian, but since the gauge is given you can easily check out yarns available here in the UK which give the same gauge 14 – 16 Sts to 10 cms on the 5 - 6 mm needles suggested, just make sure it 100% wool and is not a super wash variety which will not felt in your machine! This is the sort of book you want to curl your feet up under you on the couch next to a roaring open fire and read your way through, with an elegant china pot of hot chocolate beside you, ideally with mist or snow outside, it’s an Autumn Winter cosy sort of book to me. If you love sock knitting and their portability I think this may the new craze for you, these are of course portable and are knit more or less like socks though some of the toes are finished a bit differently. What great gifts for everyone to receive - felted slippers.Magnus the garden mouse from their Knit & Crochet Garden book appears on a pair of slippers – so sweet – slippers with pompoms, slippers with coats of arms, slippers with roses, slippers with rabbits, tulip borders, horses, beautiful colour work slippers and more delights beyond. Now the piece de resistance for me is the final chapter “slippers for Christmas”....divine.......I want to make every pair in this chapter for Christmas, they are delightful.I highly recommend this lovely book to knitters. Arne & Carlos keep their quirky style going beautifully in this book. It says Fabulous on the cover, and I quite agree.Edited to add: my daughter & I were lucky enough to go to a workshop here in Scotland in October 2015, to make the Christmas Balls of A & C's famed book. Arne & Carlos were truly delightful to meet & along with teaching us how to knit the Christmas balls, gave a very interesting talk on their life in Norway where they live in a lovely house and how design ideas come to them.

ARNE &CARLOS Books
What can I say about this pair they are brilliant knitters and funny to. I have a few books now and i also watch them on tv. The patterns are not that easy to follow if your just stating out as a knitter as some are intermediate and advanced. Their patterns are lovely and I just love working in different colour yarns.

Great book!
Very basic variations on one or two slipper patterns, with three sizes to chose from.Quirky layout (for me anyway) but easy to understand and fun to read.Supported by the designers' great YouTube channel too of course!

No yarn!
You can't buy the wool for these patterns from anywhere!
