Good gouache in this price range
Is matt and opaque enough, performs well for a student grade gouache. Scarlet (334), cobalt (512) and burnt umber (409) are good. Deep green (602) and yellow ochre (227) are bad, streaky and sheer. The only issue with this gouache is that once you mix it with water, the paint gets very streaky and doesn't dry flat. Looks terrible then.I'd say they should have added prussian or ultramarine blue in this set instead and added more shades of green. The ochre is pretty useless, and there is only one green which aint that good either. This is my opinion because i prefer mixing my own colours.Overall good gouache for beginners or experimenters. Is better than Daler Rowney. Brustro gouache is better.Edit: I prefer this gouache more than Brustro gouaches because of its rewetablity. If you prefer drying your goauche in pans then this will rewet very well (while brustro does not rewet at all). However, the pigmentation is compromised to an extent.
