I haven’t made any of the recipes yet but I’m hoping this helps others as I was curious as to what the savory recipes were in the book.Savory: Brittany-Style buckwheat, Thanksgiving, Curry, Scallion, Moroccan Spice, Crunchy Cheddar, Zucchini Parmesan, Falafel, Bacon & Cheese, Cheddar Cornbread.Creative: Confetti Waffle cake, Mac & Cheese, Cereal, S’mores, Glazed Chocolate Donuts, Nutmeg Donuts, Chocolate Taco, Waffled Pineapple, Cheese Fritters, Chaffle, Mashed Potato Bites, Waffled Cinnamon Roll, Waffles Benedict, Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffles, Bagel waffle, and more.There is also a classic section and a sweet section. While several recipes call for ingredients most people have on hand there are some with not as common ingredients, but easy to get at the grocery store, such as: almond milk, whole wheat flour, almond butter, coconut sugar, ground flax seed, chickpea flour. Something I noticed while reading through the recipes is that the cook times aren’t listed. Instead the standard “cook until golden brown on both sides” is used. I’m hoping I’ll be able to determine that once I get used to using my mini maker.

I bought this along with a mini dash waffle maker and some waffle mix to use as a secret Santa gift. Priced just right!

I ordered this cookbook to get ideas for using my mini waffle maker. The book is a paperback and has several recipes and ideas in it. It starts out with the history of mini waffles, gives how to instructions and tips, and then has lots of waffle recipes. It is broken down in categories of classic, sweet,, savory and creative. The index is in the back of the book. Most recipes have a picture. There are some recipes I will probably never make, but this has something for everyone from healthy to oh my gosh I can't believe I ate that.

I found the DASH mini waffle maker on sale at a local store and purchased it on a whim as a Christmas gift for my soon to be 13 year old that enjoys baking and cooking. Then I thought I'd pick up another one for her cousin. That's when I discovered this cook book and ordered it to go with their waffle makers.My daughter absolutely LOVES them!! She has been making several different recipes from the book. Most of them have been delicious. There is only one that she wasn't a fan of. She is doing all of the cooking on her own, so I don't know if the recipe was a dud or if it was her mistake. She often halves the recipe to make her own breakfast, but she has also cooked a large batch for the whole family. The pictures are wonderful and the directions are easy to follow. There is a lot of variety in the recipes. It's a fantastic gift for your teen that loves to cook/bake.

So I thought this book was just ok. I wasn’t really blown away by the variety of different recipes.
