My 9 year old granddaughter was talking to me recently about The Guinness Book of Records and telling me that there is waiting list at the school library for the 2019 edition as it is the most popular borrowed book in the library ! I decided to buy the 2020 book as part of her Christmas present. She was delighted to receive this book and has started reading through it already. I remember this book from when I was a wee lassie and I am delighted to learn that children still enjoy reading this book : an added bonus is that it teaches them how to use a book and reference system instead of doing an on line search. Delighted with this purchase.

I bought this for my twelve-year-old grandson who, it seems, enjoys having each new edition of this book. I hadn't seen one for a very long time and was astonished at the enticing presentation of the facts, with attractive coloured pictures and carefully set text on every page. It's the sort of book that you could browse in, thinking you were entertaining yourself, but actually learning quite a lot.

This is a great gift. Just as good as previous editions with lots of interesting facts, super images and very engaging for kids and adults. Each year they cover different facts, so you won't just be seeing the same thing with each annual edition. Just check it's the best pricing in the market, as WHSmith had it on special before Christmas.

My 10 year old loves dipping in and out of Guinness World Records. He does walk around the house asking us to guess the longest, biggest, heaviest etc and enjoys it when we are totally out and end up amazed at the actual record. Many of the records do make as ask what anyone would want to do that though!

I haven't looked through a Guinness World Record book in quite a few years (probably more like a decade or two) so it has changed a little from what I remember. However it is still a decent size reference book that has sparked the imagination of my child into researching which record to try to break.

Purchased for my ten year old as a stocking filler. She also asks for the Guinness book of records at Christmas, she spends hours reading and re-reading these annuals and I imagine I will be buying these for years to come.They are interesting with decent pictures,
