Battle Tested and Approved
I have now used this camera a little over a year. I do extensive off roading and wanted to capture everything I was seeing. To be blunt, I could not be happier with the camera. The quality is extremely good and it is extremely simple to use. I was concerned by some of the reviews talking about issues they've had but honestly, either they got a bad egg or it's operator error because really this couldn't be easier. Now to be fair, I am not transferring files wirelessly between the unit and phone or computer. Personally I think that's stupid since I am running 500GB+ chips and I wouldn't do that anyway. But I can easily sign in, jump on the Thinkware wifi and see exactly what's on the disk. In fact had to do that very recently which I mixed up all my cards and couldn't remember which had something and which didn't.There really have been no other issue with the camera and it's functioned just as expected. There are two complaints I do have:1. If there isn't a chip in the camera in constantly says over and over no chip, please insert chip. It's so frequent you wouldn't be able to drive without a chip in. That said, I'm glad it reminds me because I'd hate to go off and not capture something! So that's minor.2. This is a big one for me. The camera captures all video in very small segments. I think they are 15 or 20 seconds long. And when I'm talking about 500+GB that is a TON of files. I'm STILL trying to find the best way to put them together. If ANYONE knows of a good way PLEASE PLEASE let me know lol. So this is a real problem but GoPro has the same issue, most of them do. If I understand it correctly it's about maximizing space on the SD card.Out side of that I highly recommend this camera. Yes it's very expensive. But after doing a ton of research and then testing it for a year, I'm very happy this is the camera in my rig.

Great Product
I have been using this camera for about 3 months. I installed one in my personal truck with a hardwire kit and an additional camera in my girlfriend's car with just the cigarette lighter adapter. My initial concerns of the camera draining the battery when sitting for an extended period of time have not come to fruition. The installation was pretty seamless and I have not had any issues with the camera itself. I have noticed that the rough suspension in my truck activates the motion sensor when I'm driving and I go over bumps which is somewhat annoying, but at least know it's working. I also dislike that I cant adjust the camera angle side to side. I couldn't install it directly centered on my windshield so the image is slightly off. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Decent quality, slow download, not worth the price
The dash cam is nice, and has decent camera quality, but it’s no where near worth the hefty price tag. Downloading videos takes 10 minutes plus. It literally downloads 1 KBps… ridiculous

The APP NEEDS LOTS OF WORK!
The camera is great but the Thinkware APP is bad.I’m having a had time with viewing the video, it stops recording every 3 minutes and it stops every time I hit a pothole. I have not been able to save or move any of the videos from the SDcard to another file.

DOESNT AUTO CONNECT WITH PHONE AND LOSES CONNECTION
IRRITATING THAT THIS CAMERA DONT AUTO CONNECT TO YOUR PHONE WHEN YOUR NEAR OR IN YOUR VEHICLE. WHEN IT DOES CONNECT IT ROUTINELY DISCONNECTS. YOU CONSTANTLY HAVE TO PUSH THE BUTTON AND MANUALLY CONNECT IT EVERYTIME YOU GET IN. I WAS HOPING TO USE IT AS A BACKUP CAMERA WITH THE REAR CAMERA BUT SUCH A PAIN TO CONNECT AND KEEP CONNECTED ILL PROBABLY PURCHASE RV CAMERAS AS WELL FOR THE TOP OF MY CAMPER SHELL

Perfect. Disconnect solution.
Nice and clear video. I have not connected the parking options. If when viewing your video on your cellphone and it keeps disconnecting from the dashcam, here's the solution. Push the camera's wifi function and/or look at the cellphone's wifi and connect to the Thinkware dashcam. Stay on this screen, because in a few seconds, the cellphone should have a popup come up with an option which states something like "No internet connection...Do you still want to connect"? Click 'yes'. From then on, the cellphone should stay connected to the dashcam without disconnecting in a minutes time.

Quality
Customer service is Great! Had a little issue with the Radar not being sent, due to the date when the special was offered. They honored it with no issue. The U1000 is a lot better when it comes to heat and the night vision than Blackvue DR900s-2ch that I sent back, it kept on shutting down after 80deg outside. Though the low light night vision needs some improvement. My Vava dual was better at low light night vision but everything else on the Vava was a disappointment especially when the case melted and distorted in a 80deg outside temp. I definitely recommend the U1000 .
