Great for back combing had one in the 60's lost it after 50 years so pleased to get this.

Both combs were delivered and look as they do in the photograph. But rat tail ends of the combs are very sharp, the edges of the teeth of the comb are also sharp and this comb in painful for me to use and it also catches on my scalp and hair, tugging my hair and pulling out more hair than usual. I bought this as I have been looking for a metal comb to help reduce static in my hair once tangle-free. Even without tangles in my hair, freshly brushed, I could not use this comb. I have straight- slightly wavy, mid-length hair that is thick, but the individual strands are thin- just high in density. Unfortunately, I wont be able to use these combs, and I wouldn't recommend others to use them as they are so sharp.

Made of suitable metal BUT!... comb tines are not smoothed to be safe for hair! The 4 edges are sharp and will scrape your hair badly. I discovered this when a 'once through combing' resulted in scrape'd damaged hair. Not worth a penny.
