Compact Shooting Rest

I bought this on the recommendation of a YouTube video for dialing in a red dot pistol sight. This is an excellent item for sighting a pistol or rifle with a pistol grip (such as an AR-15 or AR-10). I used it to establish a zero on my red dot sight and plan to use it to dial in my new holographic sight on one rifle and the scope on another. It's about a foot in length so it's pretty short. It did fit the narrow table across the target lane at the indoor range. It's fully adjustable in the front and rear with an angle adjustment on the small support platform for the pistol grip. This, too, can be adjusted front to rear to accommodate different rifle and pistol lengths. It has rubber feet that do not slip. Just what you need when sighting something in; something that is wobbly or slips and slides around is of no use. It comes in pieces but is easily assembled. You will need a couple of 7/16-inch wrenches or small crescent wrenches. They recommend a drop of oil on the threads to help feeding the bolt threads into the the threaded parts of the frame. Once completed, it's solid and compact but not real heavy. It is well worth the money given its adjustability, portability and versatility. It's very useful. Other pistol sighting rigs that I've used were as wobbly as a bowl of jello. Though larger, this is significantly better. The price is not bad given the versatility of this equipment. I highly recommend this piece of equipment.

I’ve been sighting in my red dots with a rifle rest and a rolled up towel. This rest made it so much easier. I saw QVO Tactical use one a few times and was hesitant purchase at first. I wish I hadn’t waited. It is worth the money. The directions are real simple. Just look at the picture and put the corresponding part in that place. A few of the parts were tight. Once I threaded the bolt through the nut and removed some of the coating, everything was smooth. Took me ten minutes to put it together. It looks great. Once assembled, you have a very sturdy rest. You can easily adjust the angle of the rest with the rear knob and lock it into place. The stability of the rest on my shooting table was solid. I shot off the rest for about two hours the first outing and it never moved. The weight is minimal. Maybe 5 pounds. You can carry it one handed and not strain your arm.

I was in need of a support to sight-in a pistol. I have tried a few other supports which were mostly constructed of plastic, unfortunately they did not provide the level of stability I was looking for. I purchased the CTK Compact Shooting Rest and it arrived on time and very well packaged, basically a box within another box with padding. Upon opening the product box one notices that each component is carefully wrapped in its own taped bubble wrap and hardware in a zip-lok bag. The instructions are basic but adequate with assembly requiring a few basic tools and about 10 minutes. The completed shooting rest is extremely stable and supportive with a pad support that is adjustable for both height and inclination. This product is exactly what I have been looking for and I cannot wait to get to the range and put it to the test. I would have absolutely no reservations recommending this product to others.

This is a fantastic well-built very sturdy solid metal unlike many plastic ones also it's made in the United States which is rare nowadays. It's truly an awesome gun rest. This not only helps you sight in different platforms It also helps those with disabilities or people new to shooting. Though I highly recommend this and this is a quality product I just had some issues with putting it together and there's things that make no sense to me. So part of the installation is a part that looks like a Y where your barrel or muzzle rests and you need to install almost like carpeting that is provided but where it makes no sense is the rear rest portion or the flat surface comes with that carpeting already mounted from the factory So if they can do that why isn't it done on the other part. Like it seems weird that they do part of it but not all of it. Also I couldn't find torque specs and usually when it comes to firearm accessories nuts bolts screws usually have torque specs. Though from a different manufacturer I used the specs from a different product similar construction. This is very portable though it does have some weight to it It's easy to take to the range. A suggestion I would make is to purchase small bubble levels normally used for scopes or mounting scopes just to make sure the rest is level. I personally have magnetic mounted two on mine though you could always keep a torpedo level or small level in your range bag as you want to make sure the rest is level If you're sighting in a weapon platforms Again I highly recommend this product even though there are things that make no sense to me personally with installation

This is a great system. Construction is robust, very flexible, and easy to transport in the range bag. I used the classic MTM red plastic one for years. It was good for quick and dirty but just couldn't get me to the accuracy I wanted when zeroing sights. It also didn't do well fitting SMG type styles that have box magazines. This one fits all these needs. If you get this system it is worth getting their accessory post for snub nose or laser grips for adjusting. For me it has enough weight as is but it is all hollow with quality end caps. You could easily fill this with sand or shot if you wanted to add a little more weight. I would purchase again.

Used it for 6-8 months now. Well built and lots of adjustability. Used it to steady for the dialing in of my pistol optics. Not used it for any rifle so don't know if it would work for that.

I use this unit for sighting in my pistols and revolvers at the local indoor range. It’s light weight, easy to transport, and use at the range. I use a heavy cover for the front yoke when shooting revolvers due to the powder blast released in front of the cylinder when fired. Adjusts nicely for various sized barrels and have used it for multiple calibers and types of guns with no issues.
