Strong Hold | High Shine | Water-based | Coconut Scent, 4oz

I love this stuff! And I have tried a bunch of different products searching for the right product for my hair and hairstyle. I have thick, relatively straight hair and a gentleman's cut combed to the side. I have tried a number of different products trying to find the right one like I said and this one is the winner. It provides great hold and manageability while not leaving my hair super greasy. Best of all, it washes out easily. Here's a recap of the other products I have tried and why this one is better: American Crew Pomade: - not enough hold for my hair American Crew Fiber - better hold than Pomade but still kind of weak - doesn't wash out easily - greasy hair American Crew Grooming crew - doesn't wash out easily at all. Had to wash my hair twice to get it out - very greasy in hair Axe Clean Cut - not enough hold Big Sexy Hair Gel (the blue stuff) - super stiff hair - hard to style with longer hair That's my list so far and shiner gold beats them in every respect. Great hold. Doesn't leave my hair greasy. A little crispy but not helmet head crispy. I also like the way it smells. I can also appreciate the fact that it's not overly expensive. I think its a great deal and a great product

This is honestly THE best hair product I've ever used. It lasts all day, and honestly can last me two days if need be. It doesn't look pasty and gluey, it provides a natural look while still giving a great amount of hold. Better yet, if you find you need to readjust or fix anything halfway through the day, wetting your fingers makes the stuff just pliable enough to effectively fix whatever needs fixing, and not have to worry about your adjustment falling apart on you 10 minutes later. Aside from the purely practical aspects of this pomade, it also has a wonderful - yet mild - scent, and a lovely translucent amber color. The tin it comes in is also great, and that tin goes a long way. Best. Product. Bar-None.

The product worked as advertised and delivered decent hold with some shine. The hold was pretty middle of the road which I didn't find to be a problem, and the shine was definitely present but not so much so that my hair appeared greasy. It is a very soft product that is easily spread in the hands and did not pull too much on my hair during application. When washing it out I found it to be very easy to get out of my hair, which was a plus for me. The only issue I encountered was that occasionally I had a hard time taming my cowlick. My favorite part of getting ready in the morning was the scent of this pomade, which is initially strong, but fades away very fairly quickly. As this is a fairly cheap pomade I was absolutely recommend it to those who are interested in trying it out

I love my Shiner. It's got a good smell....what is it pina-colota? Whatever it is, it's like a tropical coconut citrus smell. The water soluble formula is right up there with the rest of them. Don't waste your time with those wax or petroleum based pomades. I've heard some people gripe about the fact that the water based pomades "aren't natural" and can "damage your hair/scalp". I've never experienced any of that from Shiner Gold or any of the others. Just because you can't pronounce some of the ingredients in the water based formulas doesn't mean they're bad or unhealthy. If you have problems, I just suggest you wash your hair more often. ;) My only complaint is that the price is a little higher than what seems necessary when compared to other brands with the same ingredients/quality.

This pomade held my lucious locks like no other hair dressing I've ever ran through my bristle. Every morning after a wondrous shower I greedily eye this beautiful can of jellied gold as if it were a present that I may happen upon in my breezeway. A present left from a long lost love....Alas! She was was a fair lass indeed but that was several fortnights ago, I remember her well.... but onto the dressing! Upon opening this silver can of glorious mop topping you are greeted by an aroma that can only be described as rapturous yet clever. Sharp yet subtle notes of lavender accompany this delightful flavor of nostril candy. Yet a fingertip amount and no more should you apply to your forelocks...not an ounce more! Should you find yourself in a vicious monsoon or some other violent disturbance of the atmosphere, your wonderfully crafted locks will not lose their integrity nor shall they waiver! In closing if you are tirelessly searching for a proper hair gelatin to tame your mane then this would be a stupendous addition to your water closet follies.

Best pomade I've ever tried. Holds well and is water soluble in case you mess up and need to redo. Others essentially require you to wash your hair fully to get it out, this rinses out quickly.

I went to a traditional barber a few years back, first time ever. They asked me "Do you want any product?" And I said sure, never had product in it before, screw it why not? Loved it. The pina-colada scent, the amazing hold even with just a little bit of the stuff, sweat, rain, wind, it has held up in every condition and lasts the entire day and then some. Love it!

Easy to put in your hair & easy to wash out. Wind, rain, heat it doesn't matter - the hold last all day. Definitely recommend.
