Carhartt Women's Full Swing Caldwell Jacket (Regular and Plus Sizes)

I finally found a great casual jacket to see me through the cold winter. Having pockets (some inside) is an asset. I like the fact that the hood is detachable.

Beautiful color and great fit, but the jacket I rec'd is full of very fine white fur, rabbit or cat probably, inside and outside. The fur is why I gave 4 stars. Otherwise it would be a 5 star. The seller obviously sent me a product that wasn't brand new, but it had been sent out before and returned. Really bummed about the fur because it's going to take quite a long while to remove the fur. It may have to be laundered to get it all off. I thought I was getting a brand new item. I sure paid a brand new full retail price for the jacket.

Nice jacket, it is warm, but not for the coldest days of the year. It’s heavy and stiff, but it’s tough. There is no perfect jacket. This is a good work jacket. I should have gone one more size up for a looser fit.

Although I liked this jacket I will probably return in lieu of getting a second Wildwood. The arms feel a bit more restrictive with the stiffer duck and thick cuffs. Though the stretch across the shoulder area is nice and probably gets better once broken in. It feels like it would be quite a bit warmer than the wildwood, you can feel it with the fleece/sherpa lining when you put it on (which is quite thin but seems effective). Looks cool too.If you want to know how it compares to other Carhartts, I've had the Wildwood for a few years and it's been my favorite jacket. It's surprisingly flexible and warm and makes working outside on colder days much easier. It sits well on my 5' frame and looks pretty cool like a bomber jacket. I can fit a sweater under it comfortably. And the Sierra feels like it may be warmer than the Wildwood but is significantly bulkier.

Love this jacket. The fit is perfect and it will keep me plenty warm. Nice comfy soft inside lining. Room at the shoulders so not to feel constricted with activity. Pleased with the detail that Carhartt added to this jacket such as the little tab at the top of the zipper so that the zipper doesn't scratch your chin when it is zipped all the way up (wish they did that with all the jacket styles).

This is my favorite Carhartt I've ever owned. The color (burgundy) is beautiful and has stayed 6 months later. I purchased a size M which i usually wear in most things. Fits great. Good room for moving your arms and good coverage for the midriff/back. Coats are usually a little short but this is perfect!

This jacket is a good fit for my daughter. She loves the rugged feel and the warmth is provides. I know this is the type of jacket that kids love these days, a real fashion statement. I am happy to buy her a jacket that will last for years and years.

This jacket is amazing and definitely is better then I had expected. Sizing is spot on. I can wear it comfortably with or with out another layer ( hoodie/fleece) underneath, its super warm and it shields the wind very well. The jacket doesn't ride up and it allows for a lot of easy movement. I have nothing but great things to say about it!

I've always wanted a Carhartt but could never find one the fit properly, and the women's selection was poor at the stores I went to. This one however, fits perfectly and is exactly what I have been looking for. Heavy enough that you really feel like your wearing a warm jacket. The sherpa lining gives you that little extra as well. We spend a lot of time outdoors and we get way more cold weather than warm so, it gets put to the test. Full swing is great too because I can wear it swinging an axe. Love the dark brown!

I am approximately 5'6" tall and weigh about 114lbs and ordered this jacket in the XS.Pros:-Fit: It fit perfectly length wise and around the body, and allows for free, non-restricted movement; room for layers, but not too roomy-Colour: I bought the deep Wine colour and adore it-The cuffed sleeve and drawstring at the bottom of the jacket keeps the cold out-Warm: As someone who wears a ton of layers to keep warm, I can wear a base layer and vest with this jacket and am totally comfortable!Cons:-Sleeve length: I have long arms and legs, and I did find the sleeves a bit short for me, could have been 1 or 2 inches longer to be perfect; probably fine for someone a bit shorter-Canvas not as heavy as my old bomber-style Carhartt, but still seems durable and breaks in very nicelyAll in all: Absolutely would recommend! great quality and craftsmanship, warm, fits nicely (you can still tell I am female, nice fit) and the price-point is awesome!

Love Carhartt products but it is so very difficult to find Carhartt women products.I had to get a x- large to be able to fit a carhartt hoodie under it. A friend of mine had to do the same, the coat fits small in the arms and larger in the body. Draw string at the bottom is great because it keep the coat close to your body and it covers the butt. The Cuffs of the sleeve are nice a snug and keep my arms warm and dry. Removable hood is great for just running around town in it.Other then sizing issues I love this coat and very happy I got.

Love this jacket. Definitely worth the money. Its decently thick and keeps me warm. Although I have yet to try it out in -40 degree temperatures. The fit is amazing. I was hesitant on what size to get. I'm glad I followed the sizing guide and got my "regular" size. I got an xl and normally I wear an xl in shirts and will generally size up in jackets to have more room for my belly. But I'm glad I didn't. The fit is perfect, not too tight and not too loose. It has that worn in feel, so its not stiff and uncomfortable. Would fit a sweater underneath too. The only thing is that I wish is were slightly longer and more longer in the front. I have a longer torso, so I usually have an issue with jackets being too short. But overall, definitely worth the hefty price tag.
