Awesome item,
This is a tremendous invention. My wife and I were traveling to a new house she bought and couldn’t fit all of the items we wanted to bring inside her SUV. The design is great! There are hooks on each side that go underneath the car door gasket, which make Makes it impossible for the. Container to fall off the roof. It also has several very sturdy straps which also keep it in place. It holds a lot of items and the fact that it is canvas makes it easy to store items and move them around to your liking. It is also waterproof. The entire time we drove, which was over 10 hours. It was pouring and not one item got wet.

Perfect for travel
I have a Toyota RAV4 and it worked great! We bought this for our camping trip and more future road trips, this product was great! Has a lot of storage space, easy to use, and durable! We traveled the fastest at 80mph and it did great on the freeway.

Water resistant, but not quite water "proof"
We bought this for our trip to NY from Colorado. It holds plenty and is a great for when you don't have room for a full body cartop shell. The ropes were a little difficult to figure out, but held very firmly! However, the ropes did cause the rain to leak into the car (understandably), and our things did get slightly damp, although not soaked. We had to drive through a massive rainstorm, with buckets of rain, so a little dampness is expected, but it stood ip surprisingly well considering the circumstances.I recommend adding extra layers of water protection when using this over hardtop shells. (Plastic bags for your clothes. Avoid things that could get water-damaged, etc), but over all it stood up very well to the trip, with no damage to itself or our car.

Excellent Rooftop Cargo Bag!
This rooftop cargo bag out performed and went beyond our expectations! The bag is well constructed and durable. We loved it so much we bought a 2nd smaller one to use on our travels. We had so many different kinds of weather that we encountered and all our travel stuff stayed clean and dry because of the waterproofing and excellent coated zipper closure. The extra flap over the zipper was an added bonus! It was easy to tie down to our roof rack but it also works well on our other vehicle without a rack. There was no added noise at all from the rooftop back as we travelled the highways of the USA. Great product!

Not water proof
Bought this product early for a trip to be able to take baby items for a 12 hour trip to Colorado. During trip it did rain a few hours the first day. By the time we got to Colorado all items in bag were soaked and had a horrible odor from being in the bag overnight. Had to wash the items we could and replace items we could not wash due to the strong odor. Unfortunately we could not send back because our return date had already closed. We were out the money for the product as well as several items for the baby such as the playpen.

can store a lot, but not waterproof
We used this for a cross-country trip, and I liked how we could jam a bunch of things like sleepting bags, a tent, bags of items and such there and free up space in the SUV. It definitely works better if you have smaller, soft items that let you fill spaces up and make as much of a slope on the top front as possible as opposed to having fewer, larger items. We encountered three rainstorms during the trip, two of them prolonged and heavy, and after the first one we learned everything was wet on the bottom but not elsewhere. We then used a tarp on the inside bottom and wrapped it over the items, which kept our things dry for a later rainstorm, but as you see from the picture this is what it looked like on the inside bottom of the carrier after the last storm, so water definitely gets in somehow. Also note how the front flap seam ripped in the middle about halfway through the trip; I wish they had the strong velcro on that front flap part like they do on the sides and back of the bag to keep it from being forced up by the wind resistance while driving.(wet) Bottom line: for the price and for someone who only needs the extra carrier space for occasional trips I think it works fine as long as you protect items inside with a tarp or have things in plastic bags. If you're going to be using it a lot I'd look for another soft carrier that's sturdier or spend the extra for a hard case, which would also be easier to access than the soft cases where you have to undo multiple straps and then unzip it to get items.

Great and easy to use.
Wow, this thing works great. Started loading it up and just kept putting stuff in it. It held way more than I thought including golf clubs 2 suitcases 2 travel bags and put hanging clothes on top. Very well made had no issues with zippers. Clipped onto the car easily and didn’t hear any noise while driving. Didn’t feel any resistance while driving regarding wind.

Used on a 2014 Toyota Corolla - did not budge!
This is a really great alternative to those expensive hard shell storages that require a roof rack! Used this on a 18 hour trip. Florida - Virginia. We got hit with rain and the weather proof did great. We were scriptural so out everything in vacuum bags up there but nothing was wet and we got rained on just as arriving again so that really proved it’s worth.Just have to make sure you follow the directions and that the front of the zipper with the flap covering is facing rear, not the front like some other reviews show with water. The zipper is also water sealing, very thick. Make sure if you don’t have a roof rack and are using the hooks you can remove your door seal. It pops right back in once installed over the hooks and once removed the seal goes right back.Should’ve taken a video and pictures but didn’t have the time to.Done everything properly it is great deal for what it is. Expect lower mpg obviously.
