Replacement Remote Control for Dyson Pure Hot+Cool HP00 HP01 (Air Purifier Heater and Fan)

The tiny remote that came with the unit didn’t have the same features as this one. Mainly I was unable to turn off the change filter error after changing the filter. All directions online said to press buttons the original remote didn’t have. This one does and now I can turn off that error.

I have a Dyson HP01 fan/heater/air purifier. I replaced the filter in it and could not get the indicator light to reset. I tried everything I found online and nothing worked until I came across a suggestion to buy this remote. Worked like a charm! Apparently the remote for the original HP01 will not reset the filter indicator. Dyson must know this. Considering how much their products cost, this is really unacceptable. But I paid the extra money so I will not have that indicator drive me crazy. And since the first filter lasted 21 months, I'd rather not buy a new one too early because I had to guess.

Works great on my hp01. Every function is available. Very intuitive as far as the button to function layout. Would be nice if it was magnetic, but a little velcro strip holds it in place.

Works for filter reset. I have a Dyson HP01 and the original remote was not working to reset the filter after I had replaced it. I read on Reddit that this would work and it did. It is white plastic as pictured, cheap looking and not magnetic so it doesn't really "replace" the original remote but it does work.

This remote control is a lot cheaper than the dyson brand controllers. It’s not perfect, and the design could use a little polishing to get it to a more professional product. There are a few edges that are still sharp from the casting, that could have been deburred in about one second on a buffing wheel. But it works great and frankly the buttons are easier to use than the dyson one, because they are elevated and rubber instead of flush with the surface and hard to feel the button locations without actually looking at it.

I was happy to find a replacement remote that was much more affordable and reasonably priced than what the actual replacement remote for my dyson fan goes for (which is $50) When I received the remote it worked instantly without any issues -I purchased the remote last summer when it began to get hot and i suddenly found I wanted to use the fan but I couldn’t find the remote During the following winter I didn’t use the fan obviously meaning that I also didn’t need to use the remote Then this summer comes along and just like last summer I go to use the fan - I grab the remote and press the power button but nothing happens -so I think the battery is out and change it - still nothing, I came back to amazon to find this listing of the product to find how I can reprogram the remote bc I was thinking maybe it somehow accidentally became disconnected over the winter ? I tried the instructions but still nothing. I came to the conclusion that it didn’t disconnect from the fan - bc after replacing the batteries and trying to reprogram it I noticed the light wouldn’t even light up on the remote, so it just stopped working for absolutely no reason other than the fact that it’s cheap But you get what you pay for I guess. I was hoping to not have ti but the $50 original remote so I opted for the cheaper option and in the end I payed the $50 anyways since I had to end up buying the actual remote plus whatever I paid for this remote to only work for 3 months. It sat in a cabinet the entire winter, untouched and unbothered for months so there is no reason it should stop Working but it did. Since my return window closed I didn’t even bother trying.

I bought this remote because I had read where the Dyson official remote could be faulty. I could not reset after a filter replacement. I went back and forth with Dyson and they finally took my HP01 in to repair it and said they found nothing wrong. They had successfully removed the flashing code and that worked great for a year and after I replaced filter again I could not reset and stop the code. I got this remote and reset the code within 5 minutes or less Dyson needs to wake up and realize their remotes are glitched. And this is a nice remote to have in hand.

I really don’t have enough words to express how happy I am about this remote. After struggling for about an hour with the remote for my HP01 trying to reset the new filter, I went onto Reddit and found a link for this remote. Popped the batteries in and three seconds later, the filter was reset. Shame on Dyson. I love their products, but this faulty remote issue is insane. If I hadn’t done onto Reddit, I might have destroyed my expensive air purifier. Thank you Reddit person and thank you maker of this remote! You saved hundreds of dollars and my sanity!
