Perfect for Notetaking
I LOVE these notebooks. I bought them at the recommendation of a study YouTuber that I watch and I do not regret it. I have small handwriting, so the semi B5 size was not an issue at all. In fact, an issue I had with regular composition books and notebook paper was that there was too much space in between the lines. The Kokuyo Campus notebooks are thin and compact and the paper is very smooth. The design of these notebooks incentivized me to put more effort in my notes to be more structured and pretty. I use 3 of the 5 notebooks for my semester classes, and the other 2 as a personal bullet journal and a finance log. I bought the 2 pack of the 50-page dark ones for my yearlong classes. As someone who appreciates quality stationery, I can say these Kokuyo notebooks have made the cut to be one of my irrevocable staples, right alongside my 0.38 black Muji pen and my black Pentel dude touch sign pen. I will be buying more to use for work, cooking, etc.. (or maybe just to horde a supply to have at arm's reach) Pros: -good for short term notetaking -smooth paper -simple and pretty design -compact lines -dotted pages make formatting lines easier -no bleedthrough -durable pages -can maintain the ink from Tombow and Pentel Sign pens without bleedthrough Cons: -not many pages -has ghosting (I personally don't mind since it makes me feel like my pages have 'character') -not much room for those with large handwriting -cost

Great slim notebooks - recommend buying the Kokuyo notebook cover with these
I absolutely love these notebooks! For $10, you get five notebooks in purple, blue, green, golden yellow, and pink, each containing 30 pages (=60 pages front and back). I'd say that the ruling is very similar to college-ruled folder paper. One might say they're expensive, given that you can easily buy a composition book for 50 cents during back-to-school sales, but I just adore how slim these notebooks are, and the quality of the paper is amazing. If you've ever written on a general black composition book in pen, you know how easily ink bleeds through the thin paper. Well, not with these notebooks! There's a little bit of show-through, but no bleeding unless you leave your pen on the paper for too long and end up creating ink blots. You can easily write on both sides of the paper in ink, which is really good since there's only 30 pages compared to a composition book's 100 pages. The paper is also nice and smooth. Except for the very first and last pages, the notebooks open to a relatively flat position, or at least flatter than a composition book can open up. I was initially hesitant to buy these books because of how little pages each notebook has, but I jumped for it when I realized I have trouble finishing a standard composition book. When I started college, I switched from taking notes in composition books to taking notes on loose folder paper. I found it too annoying to bring a separate composition book for each class when I knew that at the end of the semester, each book would end up only 40-50% complete, depending on the class. Lugging 2-3 comp. books each day was also tiring when combined with a laptop and textbooks. With these notebooks, I feel as though I won't have that same problems as before. Each notebook is very lightweight and slim, and it barely takes up any space. I did purchase the Kokuyo notebook cover, which helps tremendously in keeping the corners from folding in my backpack. I know others have had issues with the notebooks being damaged in transport, but I was lucky for that not to be the case. I think it might be because I had others items in my order, which took the impact instead. So maybe I'd recommend buying other items to be shipped with your notebooks? Since using this textbook in class, I've found that, for me, a chapter's worth of notes in my economics class takes up only one page (front and back). Of course, my handwriting is on the smaller side, so I'd factor in your handwriting size when debating whether or not to purchase these notebooks for class. I'm thinking of buying the 6mm notebooks simply because I'd like the extra lines per page, but these are really good if you like writing with college-ruled paper.

May be my favorite notebooks I have ever used!
They have less pages per notebook than I thought I would like (30). There are 5 in this pack. The paper is nice and smooth! I loved using them. They lay flat and have white pages. They have those little tick marks across the lines, but all the lines are light and not making the page look busy. I feel like the only downside is the possibility of preferring a different number of pages. It is B5 size so the slightly smaller than full printer paper size, which I always think is the nicest size. Be sure to look at some of the images from the reviews because the listing does not show very accurately what the inside looks like. Also, the covers always held up for me really well.

Ideal for Bullet Journal
Ordered these in the candy-colored 5 pack to use for a Bullet Journal. They fit my needs perfectly, and at $1.80 a piece are at a pricepoint that offers both quality and affordability. Now that I know how much I like them, I'll be purchasing this 10 pack. Pros (for bullet journal use) ~Top of each page has space for page number, date, and title ~Thick, smooth paper is a delight to write and draw on. Most pens will not bleed through. ~Nerd ruled: 6 mm is slightly smaller than college ruled, and the horizontal lines have regularly spaced dots allowing the paper to function as graph paper without the visual clutter. ~Same size as an iPad or Composition notebook. ~Very slender, about 3 mm thick. I find that this notebook slips into the side of my purse and takes up virtually no space. ~Binding allows writing right up to the gutter or even across it. ~30 pages is roughly 2 months of usage for my purposes with this size bullet journal. ~2-3 notebooks fit well into the Koyuko Systemic cover, creating a low-cost Midori style option. ~Notebook can be folded back on itself if you need to write in it without a firm surface. ~Low cost, available in bulk. Cons (for bullet journal use) ~Floppy because of the thin size if not in a Systemic cover. ~Square corners instead of rounded - a tiny nitpick.

Great for note taking
I’ve been using these to take notes in college for two years now, and they’ve been great. Im using muji pens right now and they don’t bleed through the pages at all. In my experience, most pens don’t lead to page bleeding since the paper is good quality, so unless you’re using something especially dark or inky, you should be fine. I like how the lines have faint notches on them, which makes it easy to draw graphs and diagrams for math/science classes. A possible downside is that there are only 30 pages per notebook, so if you need lots of pages that may be a problem. However, I’ve found it to be the perfect amount for taking notes for one semester. I like that the notebooks are slim and compact, as it saves a lot of space in my backpack. Also, as someone who used to use spiral bound notebooks, it’s so nice not having to deal with the spiral getting stuck to things anymore. They are a bit expensive in comparison to regular notebooks, but if you’re picky about stationary like me and are looking for something a step up from your average Walmart notebook, I highly recommend these.

The Perfect size notebook for me!
I love this paper ever since my best friend introduced Japanese Notebooks to me in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. The Semi-B5 paper size is perfect for me because of my unique way of taking notes and the dots in each notebook help me organize my thoughts and draw out diagrams in a well suited manner. I seriously love this notebook and purchased the Systemic system and now carry this combination everywhere I go whenever I need to take some notes. The paper quality is excellent! I use Uniballs and Pilot V5s and V7s on it without any ink bleeding or smears. The 5 pack arrives in shrink wrapped packaging and Amazon ships it by box so the contents may shift around during shipment so expect some corners to be mushed a bit, but nothing extreme! Amazon did a great job at offering this combo at a low price from another website that specializes in Japanese pen and papers. The each notebook is a different color and is great for organizing your classes and subjects. Overall, this is a great notebook and it trumps the letter size papers!

Best notebooks for college
I love writing in these. The paper feels so smoth and nice for handwriting notes for school. I wish they were thicker because i found myself filling them up pretty quickly but nonetheless i don't mind have multiple notebooks for a class. I love the colors and that they are not heavy so i can carry them everywhere i want to with ease.

Great notebooks for gel pens
These are great little notebooks! The size is just right (I take notes sparingly and can never fill up normal notebooks), and the paper is exceptional. I use these notebooks with gel pens and the ink never smears. The ink shows through a little on the back side of the page, but not enough to be distracting; I write on both sides of every page. The lines at the top for "no." and "date" are very handy. The dots are great for lining up indents. Probably my favorite aspect of this notebook is the fact that the lines and dots are very muted; I can write very small or with a light-colored pen and my writing still shows up fine, whereas it tends to be overwhelmed by the thicker, brighter ruling on other notebooks.
