If you like the idea, you will be happy with this model
I hardly ever write reviews, but I felt very compelled to make an exception for this seat.I cannot agree more with others here: experience a bidet in Europe or Asia, and you cannot help wondering why in this country is not popular, if nothing else being environmentally friendly. My wife is in Europe for a long term job and in the apartment she rents there is a bidet (the type that is stand-alone) and we both fell in love with the idea (however funny this sounds). We don't have room for a standalone type in our bathroom, so I looked for a conversion kit. After a few months of use, here is my assessment:1. Installationa. Seat: easy, straight forward, good instructions.b. Plumbing: easy, except that they could have made an elbow to connect the tubing. This way it sticks out about 8” and curves behind the toilet. My version has a sturdy tubing (looks that way anyway) not like someone here experienced.c. Electrical: be aware it needs a regular outlet, but other than that it is fine. I use an extension cord tucked under the baseboard so it doesn’t show.d. Installing with touch-free flushing system: This was a bit challenging. We have one of those flushing systems that flushes by waving your hand over the water tank. I hooked it up to a power plug (battery life is awful) since I had electricity there now, but it gets triggered when the nozzles engage, so I ended up putting it on a long-life battery (this is an issue with the flushing system, not the seat).2. Featuresa. Size: I can see why some has trouble with the size. We got the elongated version, and as we both are average size, it is comfortable (even for the male parts which seemed to be an issue for someone here).b. Nozzles: they are perfect for us (I didn’t have to adjust them, so I cannot tell how easy it is). Granted you may have to move a bit around, but we got used to that pretty quickly. The pressure is comfortable (as long as the toilet tank is not filling at the same time or anything else draining water pressure). Also, the pressure sensor in the seat prevents the water from squirting out of the bowl (i.e. you have to sit on the seat before the nozzles engage, unless you disable this feature).c. Warm water: lasts for one cycle (one min). Takes a few minutes to rewarm the water, if the cold water bothers you.d. Heated seat: amazing, especially winter time! We keep it on all the time. It takes a couple of minutes to warm up, if you are concerned with the longevity of the heater or electric fire.e. Remote control: very nice to have! You don’t have to twist and turn trying to reach for the controls. The holder is mounted near the toilet paper holder. Very convenient.3. Maintenancea. Cleaning: easier than a regular seat as it doesn’t have the legs on the bottom. For some models of toilet you do need to mount self-sticking legs though.b. Nozzles: after a few months, still looks as new. I thought cleaning them may be a hassle, but I guess the self-cleaning cycle before use takes care of it.4. Hygienea. Comparison with the stand alone model: I was concerned about the fact that the stream of water splashes the content of the bowl everywhere, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. The stand-alone models have a gentle flow which requires manual “assistance”, but the nozzles on this model provide enough force for a “power wash” (so to speak).b. Drying: well, this is personal to everyone. I tell you this: if you don’t bother, you won’t have dripping water when you get up, but regardless you end up using much less toilet paper, if any.c. Guests: chances are, they won’t use it, don’t feel offended. Again, the idea not being very popular in this country, and again takes time to get used to it.Well, I hope this helped you to make up your mind (sorry about the length).

Amazing!
Before buying this, I read all the prior reviews on this item. They were all very helpful in my decision to buy this bidet.First off, its very easy to install, assuming that nothing arrives broken. I got mine as an Amazon Warehouse item, so it was returned at some point, and they forgot to remove the plastic mounting bolts from the seat before shipping. One broke and I had to run to the store to pick up a set of replacement bolts. It was $4, and the new bolts are metal, not plastic. It was a actually a good upgrade in my mind. I contacted the company that sold the item and they graciously compensated me back for my time and parts. Thanks!Installation is easy. Just follow the directions. Trying to remove the mounting bracket (if it is already installed) turned out to be a mess. There is a quick release lever on the side to do that, but I didn't realize it until after I used a couple screwdrivers to force the bracket off. Thankfully, its a strong design and nothing broke. Phew! You attach the mounting bracket to the toilet after removing your old seat (I'd recommend replacing the plastic bolts with brass ones), and slide the seat onto the bracket. Attach the t-pipe to your water line, attach the hose provided from the T to the seat, test for leaks. Its pretty straightforward. You plug the seat into the wall, and presto, you've got a bidet. The seat warming feature is not super warm, but that's fine. Its better than a cold seat. Also, you do need to sit pretty far back to get the effects of the water jet. There are 2 options - front or rear. Front is for females, rear is for your butt. Use as necessary. The water is warmed and has a series of adjustments for pressure and temperature.I'm a changed man after this thing. You still need TP, but significantly less and mostly for wiping off water. I look forward to using this everytime I go home. It was a great investment, and my fiance loves it as well! Win-win!Also, if you were only considering a heated seat, they are about $120, this was $250 new, $193 used, so not a huge price stepup to get this one. Its so worth it!

Edit: Dies after 2 years. -
The media could not be loaded. Edit: The bidet dies and has issues after 2 years. There are now multiple people complaining about similar issues as myself which can be seen on Brondell's main website under troubleshooting in the comments. It stopped working altogether after it had a mind of it's own and sprayed whenever someone sat down. It then stopped working completely except for the heated seat. I took it apart and found a rusted servo, cleaned what I could, and got it to spray again, but it's back to spraying whenever someone sits and only the pink nozzle works. You can't adjust the pressure either.Troubleshooting via their manual didn't help, neither did any mode changes.I've reached out to support via email but no luck yet. Will try via phone when I can.Original: I haven't used the other bathroom in my new house yet... - Thanks to this sucker. Solid warmth for both spray types due to the reservoir always on hand. The seat it is pretty comfortable as well. The closest thing to a minor gripe we've had is the remote control will occasionally not start the spray properly, so you may have to quickly press Front/Back/Front and maybe change the pressure before it changes to a proper steady stream like it normally does, but it's been a great purchase and everyone should have one.
