Ready or Not: 30 Days of Discovery For Foster & Adoptive Parents Paperback – July 3, 2014

I've been reading lots of books to prepare to foster and while the others were preparing my mind by giving me book knowledge on trauma and parenting, this one is preparing my heart! I really like the topics it brings up and questions it asks to take ideas you may have and put them into practice on how you will act with the child.

If you are considering adding a child to your family through the beautiful gift of adoption, spend the 30 days and read this book!! I found the wisdom to be very thoughtful and the Bible verses to be perfect selections. Although beautiful, adoption is not an easy road. Being prepared for what to expect is invaluable and this study is an awesome way to pray over your family's next steps.

Great book for exploring the idea of fostering and adoption. Very honest and real. Truly explains Gods heart for the orphan.

We are doing it with our small group and learning so much about how we are wired- and learning how to lean into our strengths.

Pam Parish captures the biblical principles of foster care in such a concise, matter-of-fact way. This is a must read for those interested in fostering or supporting those who do foster. I have bought several to give to those in our support network, so they can further understand what we are going through.

This is a great book to give you guidance as you think through and pray through foster care and adoption.

Just what I needed. Comforting to read themes particular to what I'm going through as a foster mom. Very uplifting and doesn't beat around the bush about difficult topics. I will reread this many times over.

My wife and I are foster parents for 4 children which we are considering adopting. This book has been a great inspiration to us and we would recommend it for anyone.

I am religious but this puts too much emphasis on the bible. Its nothing like what she writes in her blog which is much better.
