4.5 stars for this grumpy yet swoony celibate H who’s OBSESSED over the h
Ah. Whitney G. My grumpy/feel good guilty pleasure… she’s the best at writing grumpy Hs… another home run for me. Somehow, they make me laugh yet swoon by the end of the book while making me gasp at their dirty mouths and no-holds-barred attitudes… I eat them like candy 😈💅.Tara’s down on luck. She has multiple degrees yet can’t find a job, has a roommate who’s also struggling and is constantly getting threatened to be evicted. She has to resort to stealing wherever she can- like “free” bus rides, “free” food, etc, and she tends to do it at certain hotels owned by none other than Preston Parker, CEO of Preston International, #1 hotel chain in the world. One day, she gets caught… and is offered a job instantly.Preston’s a grumpy, demanding, callous boss- it makes sense since he’s running a multi-billion dollar business. His executive assistants never last long, and he’s constantly hiring new ones since they always quit 😅😬. In fact, he just calls them all Taylor (learning their real names is a waste of time 😅). Until Tara bumps into his life- right after they catch her “stealing” food. He’s so impressed by her that he hires her.Tara is feisty, a spitfire, and doesn’t take his ish. She learns the ins and out quickly, and is SO good that she predicts what he wants/needs before he gets it out of his mouth. Until she realizes how much working for Preston has taken over her life… and she puts in her two weeks notice, which does NOT go well with Preston, and he’s gonna do whatever he can to try to change her mind 😈.What I loved: um… the fact that as soon as he realizes he wants Tara, he only has eyes for her. No other woman will ever compare to his obsession and infatuation over her. I was surprised by this and kept expecting the other shoe to drop- it didn’t 🥰❤️. The couple of women that try flirting with him get rejected immediately. Loooooved that. 👏🏻😉-The push-pull dynamic. I love a grumpy H and a feisty h. She gave just as good as he did. Plus, she has goals in mind and sticks with them regardless of how she feels for Preston.-Preston’s dirty mouth. Jeeeezus 🥵🔥this man made the most inappropriate comments in the most random times BEFORE they became intimate 😈. No fs given. I loved it 💅-The tension. OH SWEET JEEEEZUS. The freaking tension was scorching. Yeah, it takes a while for Preston to finally say f it and go all the way by crossing that final line, but the way he pleases her beforehand was just as good.-The BANTER! Gawd. I love good banter in my books. Makes me smile and giggle left and right.-The emotional aspect- life’s unpredictable and things happen- when a surprise lands in Preston’s life, he takes ownership and responsibility for the situation. This could’ve been drawn it more, but it was okay for me 🤷🏻♀️.1Preston’s swoooniness- yes I said it- a grump CAN be swoony, even if it’s masks and hidden from peering eyes.-Tara’s backbone. Nuff said.-The way Preston basically sneakily steals Tara from her bf… and then how he SABOTAGES her Tinder date when she’s smexually frustrated. Gah. He’s so shameless 😈🤡💅😂😂😂👏🏻😅.What didn’t I like? More smexy times lol. There’s so much buildup that I wanted more 👀 but this is me being greedy.-A longer epilogue- gah. Still me being greedy lol. If you sign up for the author’s newsletter, you get a short little bonus epilogue.-Although he grovels for a loooooong time, we don’t see it all 😒. I love good grovels lol.Overall, I really enjoyed it 🥰⚠️safety squad⚠️-no cheating/sharing-h has bf when book begins- doesn’t last long and we never see them intimate or really get to know him 🤷🏻♀️-H has a manhoar reputation- but he’s never with ow in book. OW flirt with him but he aggressively and ruthlessly turns them down-h goes on a tinder date and H sabotages it 🤡💀😂

Hilarious! Steamy! Quick Witted! Swoon Worthy! ***No Spoilers...Maybe***
So...(palms up and hunches shoulders) Whitney G delivers her take on a tired idea. I don't care. I loved her book. I laughed. I swooned. I fumed. Of course, we've all read books like this, especially if readers tend to stick to certain types of genres, but we still read them. Either for the author or for the content. So back off! Keep doing you Whitney! ;)Anyway... There were scenes that had me rolling. The stolen umbrella! The neighbors Wi-Fi password! Waking up and rolling over to purple button eyes! I can imagine Preston's face as he jumped! LMAO!!! I loved how Preston had done little things for Tara without her knowing. That was the sweetest. I think my favorite part of the whole book was Tara's outburst to Preston! That was absolutely divine! The steamy sex scenes provided an insatiable hunger for more.As far as the writing goes, I think the story had a cohesive flow. Everything fit. I wished it could have been longer. I started the book this morning and I'm already done. That sucks. Maybe more detail in the time missing. Knowing what actually transpired in the two years we missed. Or the two weeks of agony for Preston. Or the one week for Tara. Also, a little editing. Just a little.Narration! As I've stated before, Joe is my favorite male narrator! Period! He was a little monotone for some scenes, but I'll buy anything Joe reads. Erin was a neutral step for me. She becomes whiny and sings the end of sentences (if you've heard her before then you know what I mean...). That really degrades on the character when the female is having a strong moment in the book. I'd rather not hear that my female character is singing the end of every sentence. Though she does have a bit of husk to her voice when it comes to sex scenes (MAJOR LIKE), the long dialogue moments when Tara is thinking to herself becomes annoying making her SEEM stuck when she's really not. These are just my thoughts on Erin on reading FOR THIS BOOK. I've heard Erin reading before and it's not the same. Maybe that is Whitney's idea for Tara's inside voice.Bravo Whitney G! Onto the next book. Maybe I should start at the beginning of your published books and read them all. I want to see your growth as an author.

Good
Felt like it ended abruptly but still good. Connected with the characters. Kept me interested and had a happy ending so that's good.

it was ok
The story felt a bit rushed and I felt like there was more that could be told on the storylines of both main characters. I did love their banter though. Also the spice was at a 1.5 out of 5 for me.

enjoyed it
I really enjoyed this book. I wondered where the author would go when mentioning Preston family, but I did not see the twist of events. Kept me engaged throughout.

Another great romance
I read this in just as fast as The Other Belle. Loved it! Perfect mix of story, smut, and emotional twisty.

Great read!
Quick, entertaining read. Tara was just what Preston needed. She rushed into his world at the moment she needed it the most and made him human again. Preston definitely has a huge alpha personality but Tara handled him beautifully.

Same name as film - but much better!
A number of years ago, I was coerced in to watching a Hugh Grant film because "he's different in this, you'll like it...". Still, it wasted a couple of hours.Reading this when it was published, I had to check that Whitney G wasn't involved in the script for the film of the same name, and sort of forgot about it (the similarities are the reason for the missing star.)I decided to read it again after seeing a friend was reading another of the author books (one I really didn't like!)I'm glad I revisited this one though. It could be classed as a work romance or enemy to lovers, but either way, you get a male lead who could best be described as being a d*** and a female lead that initially seems a bit a doormat but both real personalities come through well eventually. The set up of this is Tara being caught somewhat stretching the definition of free breakfast. Preston is drawn to her and offers a job.The book is then done in time increments, reflecting the difficulty of the job and the constant push pull between them.Tara is intelligent,hard-working and sarcastic. She also has the patience of a saint. It's in these early stages where you could see the doormat element coming in as I don't think anyone would necessarily put up with what she does and how the job takes over her life. Luckily it doesn't last long. You see her confidence grow as she begins to fight back against Prestons bull****.Also, despite his actions, you can sort of see that he pushes her to get the best from her rather than just being a you know what. There is always an undercurrent of attraction, but WG shows this more on his side initially.Preston is quite typical of a CEO in a book of this type. He's ruthless and is focused on his business. That said, the fact he offers a job to Tara shows that there is a another side to his personality, which becomes more evident after a life changing moment. It's this moment that Tara sees another side to him and their relationship starts to change from just angry sex. There's some humour in this book but perhaps not as much as in the authors other books. The attraction between them leaps of page - Whitney always does a great job with this. Its not complicated and you dont get too many side characters which is nice as they can sometimes overtake the leads - although george making Preston see a shrink because of the way he deals with Tara is amusing!. It's not sex scene heavy but it's very steamy when they happen. I also actually ended up liking Present too. Job done nicely by Whitney!

Dont waste your money
2 starsI'm giving this book 2 stars and to be honest I think that's very generous.I'm going to review this in two parts.Firstly, I listened to this in an audiobook format and I HATED it. Erin Mallon (Tara) was boring, disinterested and annoyed me so much! I couldn't listen to her!Secondly, I read this on a Kindle format. Without this format I wouldn't have finished this book. Two weeks notice is basically about this girl who has hit rock bottom. Tara lives in New York with her best friend. Together they struggle to pay rent and has resulted in Tara stealing everything, from transportation on a tour bus to food from luxury hotels. While Tara is stealing food from a luxury hotel, she gets caught by none other than the owner. Instead of calling security Preston Parker offers Tara a job as executive assistant. Doesn't sound normal right?...Preston is a boss from hell! He is arrogant, rude and full of himself. They have this tension between them that is just plain awkward. Six months turns into two years and Tara is still working there. We see softer sides to Preston, however he didn't win me over. The book is written well, however there is massive timelines gaps that didn't really work. I understand why Whitney decided to do this but it seemed to be all over the place.

Okay read.
Tara meets Preston when she is caught stealing from the free breakfast bar in one of his hotels. He finds out that she is the one who has also managed to stay in his rooms for free and he ends up taking her on as his executive. It doesnt go that well because he works 24/7 and expects her to do the same. She is snarky with him and gets away with it. When she finally gets to leave 2 years later he isnt nice to her. She finds out about all the little things he had been doing for her like using his plane and the office she had. She tries to ignore his emails until he has to go and find her. Thought the ending could have been better.

Funny, witty, a fast easy read
4.5 starsLately, I've really struggled to get into a lot of books, unless they're my go-to authors, so it was great to discover a 'new to me' author.I read Two Weeks Notice in one sitting, a pretty rare occurrence for me. Preston is a total a**, but Tara is more than a match for him. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments, and I finished the book with a great big smile on my face. This might be my first book by this author, but it won't be my last.Yes, there are some dodgy "you're-gonna-need-to-suspend-belief-and-go-with-the-flow" parts, but hell, people, who wants to read about real life!

Loved it.
I loved this book. Preston is an absolute nightmare to work for, he has no feelings for anything he puts his staff through and fires people at the drop of a hat. When Tara goes to work for him things start to change. Yes he is very closed about his personal life but things come to a head when a tradegy happens. Much more than five stars.
