The Muse Tarot: A 78-Card Deck and Guidebook

My cards arrived today and I can honestly say this is my favourite deck ever! I already own the Light Seer's Tarot and apart from its less than sturdy card stock didn't think Chris-Anne could have improved upon it with its fascinating artwork - well, she has! The Muse Tarot deck is made from satin-feel noticably thicker card stock and the images have beautiful colours and are intriguing with a feminine, classy Deco glamour flavour. I'm enjoying reading through each card's description in the accompanying cute booklet with its velvet touch cover. I'm super excited about learning from and working with this fabulous new deck! Well done Chris-Anne - you're a genius!

OK, I have been looking for a card deck for ages that I can use as a source of both creative inspiration and practical prompts for my mixed media artwork when my mojo deserts me. Which is quite often these days. Of all the ones I have tried so far, this is by far the best. The cards are smaller than a lot of decks, but I actually find them the perfect size for shuffling etc. The card stock is good quality, the finish matt and the design on the reverse is gorgeous. There are some things about the deck that may be of concern to some people, particularly those who prefer a traditional tarot deck. The names of the suits have been changed to reflect aspects relevant to a creative life: Wands becomes inspiration, cups - emotions, swords - voices, and Pentacles - materials. There are some changes to the names of the Major Arcana as well. There is no King for each suit, instead we are given The Muse for each suit, and the art work for the Muse cards is portrayed in a landscape format whereas the other cards are portrait, which may annoy some people. As you might expect from a deck referring the Muse, the deck is entirely feminine, there are no male characters portrayed in the art work, which again may be a negative point for some. None of these points concerned me personally at all though, as the cards are just beautiful pieces of art that inspire me visually. I would describe the art work as digital collage, but although the artist Chris-Anne does have a certain visual style, there is sufficient variety in them to hold your interest. The guide book is good, with keywords and poetry to help the inspiration flow. At first I thought the actual prompts were too vague as with other decks I have tried, but that was before I discovered THE WEBSITE! The website takes these cards to another level. There are audios for each card, meditations and pathworking visualizations, as well as more in depth prompts which were what I had been hoping for from previous decks. Not an exact fit with my shopping list of requirements but closer than I have come so far, and I am happy to end my search here. The prompts are not specific in the sense of "Draw your pet or partner in pen and ink" (not that I would want anything that specific!) but provide sufficient detail to get the creative juices going no matter what your creative discipline is, without constraining you in any way. I heartily recommend these cards to any artist or creative who wants a little help from his or her Muse from time to time. I am really impressed with this deck. It is different to any other deck I own. I love the connection I feel with this deck. In my opinion they are a feminine deck. So great for anyone who can connect with their feminine side!! A few hours of studying the cards and fantastic guide book with poetry I am definitely happy with my purchase.

A-mused and enthralled Enthralled by this beautiful imaginative tarot pack by the very talented Chris Anne. Only arrived (unexpectedly early to my delight) on Sunday, and I am so pleased with the four readings completed so far, to be so thoroughly immersed within the magical cards of the tarot. Anyone familiar with traditional Tarot Card packs will observe Chris Anne's innovation here by replacing the four suits of the minor arcana with a more elemental theme. Therefore: Pentacles are replaced by Materials- Wands become Inspiration, Cups become emotions, and Swords become Voices. The pack is beautifully illustrated, and the cards are larger than the general size, but the bonus aspect of this is they are easier to both see and replace in the card pack. A must buy for every Tarot enthusiast!!!

These are beautiful cards and I don’t want to detract from how lovely the imagery is. They are a bit clumpy together with the card stock. However, there are no thoughtful reversals, (which I actually miss,) as it takes a particular mind to connect to and write reversals as well as upright meanings. So, whilst I love their imagery and I use them to enhance other cards the fact that there are no reversals (I don’t believe they are literally the opposite of the upright) makes me pass over them for others. Sometimes I need them in the booklet to get my mind to include other possibilities and it seems that including them is becoming something that is left out plus booklets get smaller and smaller.

I was a bit dubious about this deck after reading some of the reviews but I absolutely love them. The cards are wonderfully designed and good card stock. The guidebook is superbly written and every card depiction is like a little story. I have the Light Seer's deck, also by Chris-Anne, which I love to use and for me, this deck doesn't disappoint either. Thoroughly recommend.

This is an absolutely stunning deck! I highly recommend this deck if you love intricate art and design. This is a female only deck meaning there are no males pictured in any of these cards. The cards shuffle really well, for me at least. The card stock is really good and it’s not too thin or too thick. I’m in love with this deck!

What a beautiful deck! The Muse Tarot is a wonderful 78-card deck accompanied by a lovely guidebook. The cards are absolutely gorgeous, filled with beautiful colors, roses, and deeply feminine imagery. If you feel drawn to the muses and everything beautiful, feminine, and inspiring, this is definitely the deck for you. At the same time, I believe it could resonate with anyone. It has a modern, dreamy, almost fairy-like quality, and I could feel its energy immediately. I am someone who is very sensitive to energy, and I can feel the energy of cards as soon as I touch them. Some decks can feel quite heavy, but this one feels incredibly light, pure, and unique—as though the cards had been washed in crystalline water. I truly recommend this deck to anyone considering purchasing it. For me, it is absolutely a five-star tarot deck!

Questo mazzo di tarocchi mi ha conquistato subito. Sono bellissimi, disegnati veramente bene. Offrono una lettura alternativa, positiva e stimolante e liberano la creatività. Consigliati.

美しいMUSEが力強くも繊細に描かれていますとても綺麗。 小アルカナのスートはワンドが『インスピレーション』、カップ『エモーション』、ソード『ボイス』、ペンタクル『マテリアル』で描かれてます。 タロット初めての方にはかなり難しいと思います。 正位置で使用するデッキですが、背面で正逆はわからないので、正逆とる事もできます。 絵柄がとにかく美しく解釈も広がるので、基本的なライダー版の意味で読むよりも、本来の解釈プラス絵でインスピレーションを受け取る事が多いです。 カードからメッセージが流れ込んでくるタイプの人には特におすすめです。 小アルカナのKingがMUSEで描かれているのも特別感があってとても良いです。 独特の世界観、綺麗なカードが欲しい方にもおすすめ。

Los collages son excepcionales y capturan a la perfección la esencia emocional de cada carta. Para mí, el uso ideal de este mazo no es necesariamente la adivinación del futuro, sino sumergirme en las emociones que acompañan a cada situación. Es una baraja profundamente femenina. No estoy segura de cómo se sentiría un cliente masculino al preguntar por negocios o finanzas, pero como mujer, estoy encantada con ella y disfruto mucho trabajando con estas cartas. Su mensaje es claro y, al mismo tiempo, deja un gran espacio para la reflexión, el análisis y la conexión con su energía. Es una baraja maravillosa y altamente energética. ¡La recomiendo muchísimo!
