Worked great

First one broke after an hour of use then took almost 3 month to get the warranty replacement and after about 2 hours of use the replacement failed. Do not waste your money on this scam.

I give it four stars on the install only because those who are not mechanically inclined will have to have a helper help pull up on the starter generator to get the belt tight. Smaller pulley than the one I removed but no problem as there was plenty enough adjustment on my factory brackets smaller pulley was a concern however it's spun the engine over with plenty of speed for very rapid starts. I used a ratchet strap to put a slight amount of up pressure to tighten the belt with slightly over a half inch of belt movement. Remember do not over tighten belts on any belt and pulley system. You can destroy bearings... Rotation is reversible. Charges really well after starts to charge about 1500 RPM and really well after 2000 RPM. Great product. Looks and feels and performs like a quality part

Quick replace of the one that did not wokk

Fit perfectly just put in but seems to work perfectly But only lasted 2 months and blow apart Junk don’t buy

This worked great for about 31 days. We ended up buying the real part from a club car dealer. No response from rareelectrical after emailing them for an RA. The part looks identical to the club car version. Its a little difficult to reach the tension bolt, other than that it's a very simple installation. With no warranty and no response I probably won't be buying anything else from this company.

Good quality and price

OMG - contacted rare electric a few times regarding output voltage to assist in troubleshooting my cart - Ummm, yeah - I was told they don't know what the unregulated output voltage is. Also i was told "I can't help you" after asking what the unit is suppose to do (voltages, etc) Seems this is the way of the world, companies "sell" a product built by someone else, with little knowledge of the product they sell. I am disappointed. the unit itself seems to be decent, likely Chinese. good price -WRONG pulley- the product gets 4.5 stars - the seller gets like 2-1/2 stars on a good day based on their lack of knowledge of the product they sell. C'mon people its a basic device that's been around for decades. what's it take to know what its "supposed" to do ? I am at a loss... seems like a good part - grain of sand and 2 cents
