Goddard’s Silver Cleaner Dip – Silver Jewelry Cleaner Solution for Filigree Metalwork & Small Items – Professional Use Silver Tarnish Remover – Silverware Cleaning Supplies (10 oz)

I have bought this numerous times and shared it with my family. I love it and use it frequently to clean my large collection of jewelry and other items. I've used it on rings, earrings, necklaces, chains, and some keepsakes with great results and it hasn't harmed my stones or crystals ever, even opals, which are a softer gemstone.I pour a smaller amount into another lidded jar and drop in the piece or pieces that I'm cleaning. I shake them around in it for a little while and remove them when I see that the tarnish is gone and they are cleaned. I then rinse them and sometimes use a little dish detergent on a soft toothbrush to get into the filigree and cracks. Then I rinse and dry. They look like new! The only pieces that I didn't have excellent results were some chains. I believe they might be plated, cheaper, or just a poor quality metal as nothing that I tried would shine them up well.The instructions advise that you don't ever use it on stainless steel or jewelry with glued stones or embellishments as it could dissolve the glue, so be aware of that. I also don't leave things soak in it for long. I would re-dip it if the quick cleaning didn't work in a few minutes. It usually cleans the tarnish in less than a minute.This is my first "go-to" cleaner for all of my jewelry and I 100% recommend it. It does a great, quick job maintaining my jewelry and lasts a long time. I use the same cleaner in the second jar over and over until I need to add more, keeping the "fresh" cleaner in it's original jar.Please don't change the formula, Goddard's!

It did work, though it made the silver milky looking, but if you use their special cleaning cloth then the milkiness changes to shiney. But this alone will not make it shiney. But what I REALLY liked about this, (and is the reason I'm giving 5 stars) is that the old worn off part of my plated silver was re-silvered! Wow so happy for that, combined with their cloth these antique candle holders look almost new!

This product does an amazing job. Place your jewelry in the jar and swish it around. All tarnish is removed. Rinse with soapy water, rinse again, wipe with a soft cloth and your jewelry looks new. Love it!!!

Works okay. Hardly any smell to the liquid. Not a strong solution so it needs several dips suspended on a hook or long pliers. Best to store inside a heavy container to avoid jar spills as jar is a lightweight poly type of plastic.

This cleaner is Amazing it has a faint smell but nothing like the others I've purchased in the past. It cleans great! You really don't need to soak. Drop for a few seconds and jewelry is cleaned. It's great for gold as well. Definitely recommend 👌🏻

Holy cow I’m blown away. This stuff is so fast and so effective!Literally dip rinse done!!! Some very heavily tarnished things require a bit of soaking and scrub with a toothbrush, but every single tarnished pair of earrings I have comes out amazing!Note: this will bleach out color fromMaterial and it’s hard on any stones or gems that are not glass. Don’t use on decorative items attached to earrings. Also, a little caustic on skin (when I scrub with a toothbrush). It doesn’t burn, but leaves my hands kinda dry.Still, it’s worth it. It works SO well for my collection of earrings.

This stuff is amazing. I have a whole drawer-full of tarnished silverware that we use everyday but it looks black and awful. My aunt had a bottle of this stuff on her kitchen counter. I dropped an old silver fork into it and VOILA. In a few seconds it came out shiny as all get-out! So I quickly popped my silver earrings out of my ears and plopped them into the bottle. BAM! Shiny silver earrings! I'm busy cleaning every tarnished piece of silver that'll fit in the bottle. I even poured some out into a bowl so I could do some larger spoons then poured it back into the bottle. GREAT STUFF!
