Smiffy's Men's Authentic 70's Guy Costume

As we often do, my roommates and I decided to throw a themed party. The theme of choice for this particular party? 70s, baby. Now, I already had my 70s outfit from a previous 70s party (yes, I go to many). My roommate David, however, failed to get an outfit for this particular party. Obviously, I couldn't let him go outfitless, so I had to step in. Friends don't let friends boogie down the soul train line dance in lame 2019 clothing. I mean, you can't be 'too good for the theme. You can't be ABOVE the theme. Not at my house. Not now, not ever. Does David think he can be above the theme? Maybe go to bed at 10pm because "it's Monday"? No way. I knew an outfit change would be the perfect way to get him soul'd up and feelin funky. I found this outfit and thought it looked perfect. Optimally funky. But... how would it fit? Nothing's worse than a 70s outfit that's too loose (too tight, however, that I can deal with.. in fact that's ideal, especially since this is for my roommate, not me). Still, concerning. I decided to bite the bullet and went ahead and purchased the outfit. Here's our honest review- this outfit was not a bad fit for 6'2, 190 lb. guy as far as pant and sleeve, but the waist band was definitely cut for one chubby soul brother. It was a little too wide for him. We managed to fashion a funky belt to hold up the pants and ended up dancing the night away. It got the job done. Funk forever.

The left outside pant seam was badly sewn. Waist elastic isn't tight enough to keep the pants up. The shirt length is very short. Material of both is very light.

The top is a bit short & doesn't stay tucked in very well. Decent color and ok fit otherwise though. The pants fit great, but the back waistband is kinda weirdly gathered and just comes across as tacky from that angle only.

Was great for a themed party. All aspects were good quality. The shirt was a bit small but pants fit well.

The shirt was… OK. Not terrible quality for a costume, but the fit wasn’t great. The pants on the other hand, were beyond atrocious. They were crazy, high waisted, fit terribly, and were of a horrible fabric so thin, you could see my underwear. This would probably be OK for 20 bucks, but for 50 it’s a scam.

Perfect fit

I got this for my son to wear at my 50th Birthday Party which was 1970s themed. It fit him perfect and he looked great. Good quality.

I ordered a size M and the pants fit perfect, but the top is tight and super short. The sizing is all over the place. I guess the shirt is short because it's meant to tuck under the pants but they could have spared a few extra inches of fabric so that the tuck stays put. Sleeves end up nowhere near where they are in the photo. I'm 6 ft and 190 lbs.

das Kostüm sieht super aus wie auf dem Bild. Die Passform des Hemds ist top nur die Hose passt bei mir nicht ganz. Würde ich aber wieder kaufen

Ordered a medium, they use an XXL pair of pants and pinch the sides 3" to make a medium size. They looked like clown pants. Nothing like in the picture. Shirt was fine but very short, came to the just above the belly button.
