Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’m a connoisseur of cologne and this is one of most complimented fragrances in my collection. This product holds its own against fragrances three times more expensive. It’s a fresh woodsy fragrance that can be used all year round in any environment. Amazing fragrance, hard to overwhelm or offend anyone with it. It’s a winner . Price performance and projection. It has it all.

Smells good

I bought this for my husband when we first met, and I didn’t expect it to be this good—but it truly is! This fragrance has a clean, woody scent that’s fresh and masculine without being too strong. It lasts for several hours and works well for both daily wear and special occasions. The bottle design looks sleek and stylish too. Every time he wears it, I’m reminded why I love this scent—it’s a great choice for anyone who enjoys a subtle but memorable fragrance.

We don't all enjoy smelling like fruit and flowers. Some of us work hard for a living and the scent of fresh sawn lumber brings a nostalgia like no other. Mature and rugged, not super strong, but strong enough that a couple dabs is all you need. Above average lasting time, won't need another dab for several hours even if you sweat.

I bought this after owning the previous iteration of this scent, the original Wood Dsquared, which came in a SQUARE, WOOD framed bottle. I absolutely loved that cologne--it was probably my favorite cologne ever. For whatever reason, that one's no longer available and has been replaced by this one. Unfortunately as many other reviewers have noted, this scent is similar but noticeably less woody and masculine smelling. To add insult to injury this scent is seriously lacking in strength and longevity compare to the old one. I am not exaggerating when I say one spritz of the original Wood Dsquared could last the whole day, smelling warmer and more complex as the day went on; whereas Wood Dsquared2 requires about 2-3 spritzes to get the same strength and the scent simply doesn't develop and last as long. The original one was also quite a bit more expensive, but because you could use less and the quality was higher the value was significantly better. It's truly a shame because that original scent was so good I would've bought that cologne every year for the rest of my life (at twice the price). Now, unless the folks behind Wood Dsquared return to what made them great, I will be looking for a new cologne brand once this bottle runs out. It's not bad at all, in fact, it's still a good smelling cologne for the price compared to most of what's out there. But it's not on par with its namesake.

Highly recommend this gem! Might not be up to date with the niche colognes out there, but stands out on its own! For sure a fall/winter fragrance. Longevity I get around 5-7 hours and can still smell it at the of the day. Absolute banger for the buck!
