Very interesting read. Highly recommend

I belong to a group called "Calpulli". A "Calpulli" was for the indigenous people of Mexico a type of community educational/cultural/political learning center for a village or group of villages. Our group chooses a book, topic or theme to study. About two and a have years ago we choose The Book of Destiny to read/study. If you're looking for a fast read, this is not it. This is not a negative. The book is highly intricate, detailed and amazing. My area of interests are in the sciences and ancient cultures. Other members have areas of expertise in the Aztec/Mayan calendar and ancient cultures of the Americas. Most members, simply want to learn more about the calendar and its multitude of meanings. Most of us knew that this calendar was not just a date calendar, but The Book of Destiny presents the calendar into its proper perspective. The book explains the true meanings of the calendar through comparisons of current scientific terms and theories. It describes and explains the calendar's relationship to astronomy, mathematics, physics, human anatomy, biology, cellular construction and the list goes on. If you have a background in these areas, you will be absorbed by this book. If you don't have a strong base knowledge in these areas, you will be fascinated and educated at the same time. Our "Calpulli" is close to the end of this book. It has been fun and educational. Great book!

Great read and very informative

This is an older book from the '2012 era' The generation that obviously misinterpreted logic based on incorrectly 'de'ciphered glyphs, by those who shouldn't be followed. This was not written by one of the 'US' spawned Academics so called with fake narratives of history to protect. You will find unique insights and many other jewels of wisdom hidden within! This is about Maya, not the pseudo New Age movement, creators of the doom gloom fad scenarios of the PC media group. As we all know now they tried so hard to hide the truth and twisted the message to the point of great ratings in the media but totally missed the facts and real import of the Maya contribution to the world

This is a very good book for anyone interested in an authentic overview of Maya teachings as they have been handed down for thousands of years. Readers should be cautious about relying too heavily on the information in many of the books now available on the Maya because they are often based on archeological studies that use interpretations of Maya history and culture made by the Spanish conquerers hundreds of years ago, which, not surprisingly, is completely inaccurate. This is a very important book. For anyone interested in the Maya, Mayan Prophesy, or anything to do with the Mayan Calendar(s), this is a must-read. I'm speaking strictly of the prose text, the first 2/3 of the book, which illuminates our place in the Cosmic Order, the extent and accuracy of Mayan prophesy/vision, and the course we must take to avert disaster, planetarily speaking. The last 1/3 of the book is a reference section, also illuminating and helpful for daily and broad guidance in one's life journey (or that of our friends, family, community). Have only read briefly and spottily in that section, but look forward to exploring it all. We are fortunate that the Maya have shared this priceless and profound wisdom with us. Much gratitude to Carlos Barrios for collecting so much of that wisdom into this volume.

Mr. Barrios gives us an open-hearted and highly informative understanding of cultures that have maintained a depth of knowledge most have never heard or even been exposed to. He and his Teachers are sublimely enriched by their centuries old calendars with their beautiful symbology. I deeply wish that more of us partake of this generous work directly from the inside and those who may ultimately help save our lives.

This is so different from anything you would,link it to.But eerily accurate.Sides of yourself you would not necessarily see.But acknowledge when highlighted.Both good and bad.Also predictions, warnings and comparability with other signs.Interests and outcomes.Soul groups etc.Very interesting.

It is a very good book. My advice is that it has to be read as a different perspective to the traditional history we learned during out school years. At the first, it doesn't make much sense, but as you go through the book a different history comes to light and new questions blossom in our minds. Very good.

A different way of looking at the world. This book opens your mind to other possibilities. I bought it after visiting Mexico and i'm so glad i did!
