Works Great
I got this to run some fans in a media cabinet. I had looked into buying AC powered fan controllers but went with this instead. I combined it with a ac to molex adapter and came out cheaper than a ac powered fan controller by about $10 or so. Has been running since It was delivered, Only have two fans on it at the moment, but they have been running nonstop and have had no problems what so ever. A solid product, the speed controls work well. The led's are a bit bright but that really doesn't matter much to me.

Not great, just OK. You only get a low of about 60% MAX if that, and LEDS will ALL dim as you turn down if you have led fans :-(
OK....I installed this last night and am SOMEWHAT happy with it BUT.....the variable speed will NOT lower your fans much lower than about 60-70% so you're not going to be able to really turn them down much at all, prob just enough to adjust the noise a bit but not near as much as I was hoping. BE VERY careful when tightening this into a 5.35" adapter tray if you don't have a 3.5" floppy compartment....this is plastic housing and pretty cheap and I BARELY tightened my first screw and stripped it out VERY easily so used a bigger screw to get it tight again. ALSO, if you have LED colored fans, the WILL dim also as you turn them down which is also a bummer....it's be nice to have the LED stay bright and still be able to turn them down like my case fan will if plugged into the sysfan connector on the motherboard but when plugged into this it gets dim as I turn it down, Also if you have software that controls your fans like some motherboard utilities have and some games can do it won't work as you're overriding these since they are plugged into this instead. All in all, I wish there was a way to simply have more case fan connections coming off the actual board instead or an adapter of some kind you could plug into the ONE case fan connector on the motherboard and have it create two-4 more sys fan plugs without sacrificing led brightness and better low end speeed like I get with my motherboard software (I c literally turn them down to like 10% and still have 100% brightness o the LED) but then I'm not sure if it'd power them all, but I don't see why not. But since most motherboards only have one sysfan maybe two connectors I went with this with hopes in achieving something that the motherboard (Gigabyte LGA 1150) software does and it technically does the trick but at the cost of not much change overall when turned down all the way (again at 60-70% lowest speed only) which is a bummer, I wanted about 20% and up variance but you won't get it....60% or so and higher is all this will do which isn't much really and then it REALLY dims your leds too so in hindsight I probably wouldn't have bought this and tried something else but for the money and the fact it's installed I think I'll leave as is for now until I find a better way since I'm not upgrading anytime soon to say water cooling where I wouldn't need the fans much...So if anyone knows a better way to have more sys fan connectors that come off the actual sysfan on the board I'm all ears....a moduar power supply with adapter cables worked to add more too but the mobo software wouldn't control all the fans without dimming either because they aren't seen unless plugged into the sysfan on the board so the LEDs and speed were topped out at max with no control but did of course work, just at full speed only. Kind of . bummer. I wanted to control two front fans, and 3 top fans with this which it DOES do, but the low speed isntvery low at all and then of course the LED lighting is variable too so the lower you go down the dimmer the LEDs.....not a huge issue but I like to show off my case and also wanted a much lower bottom end control....not just . 40-40% decrease but more like 20% and up option.... So for the dimming of the LEDs and the not so low fan speed-ability I dock a star for each.

Great product, must have
I had to wait several weeks because i ordered from the the other side of our planet, but it was worth the wait. It looks very slick, fits perfecty into the HD tray and works like a charm. If i could wish something more than it was the option to completely turn of the fans instead of only controlling the amount of electricity flowing through the cables which is not fully shutting the fans down. But to be true, it doesnt really care. It is far more better than how it was before!

Does what it should.
I now have two of these units installed in two different PCs. If you're lucky and you have a PC case that has an open 5.25" bay that can accommodate one of these, the installation is pretty painless. If you don't have one of those, you can still make it work (though there are probably better options in that case). The only major gripe I have with this product is the bright blue LEDs that are always on whenever the PC is on. Maybe I'm in the minority but I don't want my PC lit up like a Christmas tree so I don't have blinking leds all over the place. I bought the first of these Kingwin fan controllers several years ago and it went into an older case that was manufactured when most people still had DVD drives in their PCs. So I had 3 open bays. But I didn't like the bright LEDs so I took the fan controller apart, removed the clear plastic part that protrudes from the front of the fan controller, drilled some holes in the right places for the front panel blank on my 5.25" bay and hot glued the fan controller to the blank. Then it was just a matter of putting the knobs back on and popping it in. This completely hides the LEDs. But it would have been nice if it didn't have them or if there was at least an off switch for them. I know it's a cheap product and you get what you pay for but still. It costs money to build LEDs into a product like this and most people who are going to guy this would still buy it without the lights. Anyway, if you can make this fit into your PC in a way in which you have convenient access to the knobs, it's a good, inexpensive way to control 4 fans. You do have to guess at some things like fan speeds. I have another product made by this company that I find useful as well. For the price, it's made as well as it needs to be and seems to last.

Gets the job done.
This is a simple solution to adjust the speed of your fans. If you're expecting more, please look elsewhere. The quality control isn't great. The enclosure is made out of cheap plastic (mine has a dent on the bottom) and the knob quality varies. You either have a knob with the right amount of resistance, one that's loose, and one that's too tight. The blue lights aren't adjustable. Luckily, it's hidden behind my case's PSU/HDD enclosure. It could be much better, but it should work for you if you're careful enough.

Perfect solution for those needing more case fans without enough internal connections.
I ordered this after a PC rebuild. Went from a smaller mATX case to a full midsize one that had a lot more case fan placements. My existing mobo only had a single three pin fan connector for the case which didn't have the amperage throughput to supply multiple via a splitter and I needed 5, so picked this up and although it is a little inconvenient to have to adjust your fan speeds manually rather than via internal software, it works perfect and since it takes a direct sata power connection I was able to use one of the dials to control two 140mm fans via a splitter with no issue.

Works great for manually controlling fans
Product works good, just I find the leds super annoying so I removed those permanent led lights. The dials work good not bad quality. just be aware this is a 3.5” slot compatible device, you will need a 3.5” to 5.25” expansion bay adapter like how I have pictured if you dont have 3.5” slots.

Model: FPX-001 with manual knobs, zero speed control.
Pros: Shiny knobs. Cons: One star for; installation as I had to dig out and adapter from my collection, value for the money as it doesn't work as described, and for overall rating for all of the aforementioned reasons. The power connector is a 4 pin large molex so you will need an adapter for modern SATA power supplies. Blindingly bright blue LEDs with no way to turn them off. Turning any knob does absolutely nothing leaving connected fans always spinning at full speed. I assume the potentiometers are the wrong type for use with motor speed controls as they do nothing. Conclusion: Look elsewhere if you want a fan controller that actually controls the fans. Tested all fan connectors, and all controls with twelve different fans with same disappointing results. Opened, tested, put back in the box, and initiated a return on the same day I received it, it is non functional poorly made junk.

Great simple DC fan controller
A great simple controller that allows you to control DC fans. As a few other have said, the build quality isn't the greatest, but at this price, I knew what I was paying for and it is definitely still a great product.

Avoid!
Cheap item. Do not use this to manage multiple fan speeds if cooling is important. Only operates 800RPM to 2000RPM (5-11.9 VDC), **but** with two fans plugged in struggled to maintain max speed without oscillating speed when plugged directly into PSU. With four fans connected to this control box it ran hot, with burnt plastic smell and unit power cable to unit hot to touch. Could not leave this on for more than a few minutes without fear of it burning out and catching on fire. First negative review I've ever left because, in my opinion, this is a safety hazard. Avoid!!!
