A fun game
We had played this game at a resort we were staying at. My kid loved it so we had to buy one for our house to play. This set is good quality and just like the one the resort had. Very happy with it

Seems like a sincere effort to make an above average Shut the Box
I was looking for a game that my senior citizen parents and I could play. Shut the Box was a big hit. Although we did modify the game play for our family.AMEROUS seems to be trying to offer a better quality product. For the most part, everything was superior to a previous brand of Shut the Box I had purchased. If I were giving a Shut the Box game as a gift, this brand would be my choice.- The box is better designed, looks better, opens and closes easier, easier to get the game in and out of the box, and it should last longer- There are some superficial holographic and gold stickers on the exterior box, I guess to provide a feeling of authenticity and 'officialness'- The games' overall finish is better- Felt pads to protect your table top- The dice are better, recessed pips won't wear away like surface painted dots- The paper stock the instructions are printed on is better and there has been some attention to appearance- All numbering was correct in both up and down positionsWe experienced some variation from the product photos. The bar that holds the numbered tiles location is slightly different. More forward and higher. This is closer to the numbered tiles' center of balance, making the tiles a little less stable and easier to unintentionally tip over. In general, this won't be a concern, unless you have a player with some mobility/coordination issues. There is a lot of sideways play in the numbered tiles. It would be great to tighten up the spacing some. There is sufficient contrast between the numbers and the tiles they are printed on. The black print on dark stained wood versions of the game are more challenging to read. I've read a review that says the numbers wear off, laser etching the numbers into the tiles would be a nice touchThe instructions are printed on a high quality paper stock. Apparently, meant to last. They could be benefit from a good editor as there are some instructions or rules that are sequentially out of order, requiring to you read the rules entirely, then figure out why you might want to roll one dice or two. You will probably want to compare online interpretations of the rules. The dice attracted my scrutiny. There is a generous supply of dice, a lot more than needed for a four player version. The dice have recessed pips, which is better quality than my other Shut the Box set. They are made of wood with a pretty wide range in color. Visually, they don't match very well. My initial reaction was some of them looked uneven or dirty. A nice fabric pouch for the dice looks better and will out last the standard ziplock plastic bags most other brands provide.I played a few rounds on my own and kept rolling low numbers. I genuinely thought the dice might not be balanced and could have a bias toward certain numbers. I thoroughly tested them, rolling each 64 for times and keeping a tally of the results. After the FIRST pass, I was concerned that I might be correct, but I could not duplicate the results on a second pass. That's good enough for me.We modified our game play somewhat. The traditional rules are that a player continues to roll until they roll an unusable number. We take turns, one roll per person, so that everyone stays more involved. Our goal for playing games is to get away from passively watching TV. So, we don't want to be passively watching a single player roll for an extended period of time or eliminate players. This ensures everyone stays involved a long as possible. There's a multiple game option, where a player is eliminated when their score exceeds 45. I think this number is more relevant to the nine tiled version of the game. With ten tiles the score should be adjusted from 45 to 50. Or you could opt to just not use the 10 tile and play the traditional nine numbered tiles. Also, to keep everyone involved and not eliminate anyone, we chose to make up our own rules and simply play a, "Lowest combined score at the end of five games wins."Best simple game strategy, always select the highest numerical value tiles available.I'm trying to sell my parents on a variation, where you to play to lose. This is accomplished by choosing combinations of the lowest numerical value tiles. This does require more thinking.

Great game for the family!
My daughter is in 2nd grade and needed some support with learning her addition and number families and anytime I would try to help learn she did everything she could to get out of it. So I decided to be sneaky and ordered this game and she LOVES it! It's fun for the family to play and get competitive, it's a great way to learn how to quickly add and strategize which combinations you want to use in order to win first. It's pretty sturdy and comes with extra dice because KIDS. I highly recommend even if you don't have younger kids, this could be turned into a drinking game LOL

Family friendly and fun
Shut the Box is such a fun, family-friendly game! We keep it on our coffee table, and it’s become a hit with both guests and family. It’s simple to learn, but always engaging, making it perfect for game nights or casual play. We find ourselves reaching for it frequently—it’s a great way to bond, laugh, and enjoy some friendly competition. Highly recommend for all ages (4 years old and above)!

Missing dice!!
I loved this game so much I ordered another one for a family member but it arrived without the dice. The first one I ordered had 12 dice in the pouch, this one arrived empty.

They had this game at one of our local restaurants and we sat down to play it, and I had ordered it by the time we left!
