I wanted a small pedal bin that was wide and slim for my galley kitchen. I didn't want a huge bin as the filled bags become heavy. This bin fits in my kitchen perfectly. I'm really pleased with it. The price is great especially when I saw how expensive bins are! It's sleek, sturdy and when I open it the lid lifts smoothly and doesn't slam closed.

I'd finally had enough of the touch lid bin in my kitchen and while trapped at home isolating decided to replace it. Trouble is i have pretty specific requirements. My tiny horrid kitchen has hardly any floor space for a bin so I've always needed something narrow. Fair play to this amazon basics bin though! It fits in the area i need it do and doesn't interfere with either the kitchen door or adjacent cupboard door. It is slightly shorter than the outgoing bin but I live alone and only infrequently have guests so generally i can get away with emptying the bin at least once a week. The pedal mechanism works very well and feels generally quite sturdy. The inner bin removes easily and the lid mechanism has a good soft close function. No loud "clang!" when this shuts. Two tips for potential owners, the lid does indeed open completely vertically to allow easy access to remove/fit a liner. Simply open the lid just a tad with the mechanism and lift it by hand the rest of the way. or just do it by hand fully. You will know if it has done it correctly as there will be no resistance. An odd quirk is if you do open the lid with the pedal and then try to move the lid back to a full vertical it just doesn't like it. An odd quirk but not a deal breaker. As for bin liners I have initially started using 25 litre bin liners with handles and they fit just great. I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than 25L as they could be a struggle to stretch otherwise.

My order arrived a day early, fantastic. Delivery great. Overall, product robust. However, the process of lifting the lid into the upright position in order to remove the inner plastic bucket to replace or clean said bucket is a nightmare on my specific bins! I have to wiggle and juggle the lid before I can get it to stand upright, VERY annoying!! I am so disappointed as I truly like the overall product.

What a beautiful design and material and finished and softly closed. Worth for money.

The bin is perfect for my small kitchen. The quality is fantastic, and the bin is very well made. The soft-closing lid works exactly as it should. I like the fact that the foot pedal is made of metal and very sturdy (previous bins have had plastic pedals and they eventually break). I can honestly say there is nothing “basic” about this bin. It looks very expensive. I have found that the Tesco Pedal Bin Liners (22L, bag of 30, tie handles) fit (just). I had used them on my previous bin. Might see if I can find 30L bin liners so there is a bit more of an overlap at the top.

Shines and smoothclosure of lid has impressed me. Unlike other paddle bins, lid softly closes. No noise. Using saveral times in a day. Size is very reasonable unlike 30x14x14 cm useless piece found next to toilet fills up with few empty toilet rolls cardboard sleeves and empty it more frequently to put anything more in it. Light weight and sturdy. Good quality and material. metal case and plastic bin inside easy to take out to empty.

Highly recommended. I love the smart look and the fact that it is stainless steel which is so easy to keep clean. The foot pedal is very necessary so as not to touch the lid with your hands. Also it has a removeable liner and a soft close lid which I really like. The size was perfect for me as I don't like keeping rubbish indoors for too long. It was dearer than some similar items that I looked at but overall it has everything and more that I needed from a very stylish refuse bin. Perfect for me!

I bought two of these trash cans - 10.5 gallon wide for the kitchen and 2.5 gallon narrow for the bathroom. I'm very happy with the look and feel of them. They appear to be a great value, esp. if you get them on sale - the price around Prime days fluctuates often. The larger can was $85 on the first Prime Day 7/11, yet I had purchased it for $42 on 7/8. Same for the smaller can - $46 on 7/12, I paid $23 on 7/8. They came very well packaged with thick styrofoam on top and bottom of the box and under the can lid where it meets the body of the can. It arrived USPS, and a big 'thump' I heard at delivery made me cringe, but there was no damage to the box or contents. Beyond price, tho, I needed a new trash can that didn't cause problems during warmer weather with gnats/flies. Most trash cans don't completely seal, but rather have an air gap of some sort around the lid that allows the smells to escape enough to attract these pests. This one closes over and around the inner bin, so fingers crossed, it's eliminated that problem. **Update** There is definitely significantly less smell than my previous swing lid can. But really strong smell (onions!) is still noticable, much less, and can eventually attract gnats. Because it's a step-open can, I shouldn't be cleaning off the lid from food hitting it as it goes in, like my previous can. Hopefully I'll only be dusting it occasionally! (For the larger can, it's not a pedal, but a hefty u-shaped bar.) The slow close shouldn't create a 'woosh' of smelly air wafting up, like my previous swinging lid can. **Update** Changing from swing lid to step-open lid, I thot I wouldn't like the inconvenience of step opening vs just tossing into a swing lid. But I put a strong magnet under the lid edge, and a peg-type strong magnet opposite it on the outside, so one finger can lift the lid and with the same hand toss something in. And unlike a swing lid, I can step and hold open the entire lid to scrap off a plate or pan. And NO food or fingerprints on the lid - it stays clean. With the addition of a magnet "handle", the step-open can is better. And this after decades of swing lid cans. I also no longer need a full size can taking up space, esp. since it takes us a week or more to fill it. I didn't want to lean down to a too short can, or worry about missing it because the opening was too small. The 10.5 gallon can is tall enough and the opening is large enough that it looks and feels like a full size can. It's taken some time to find the right can for what I needed - the 10.5 gallon definitely checks all the boxes. There were less improvements needed for the bathroom can, but the 2.5 gallon also checks all those boxes. Very happy with the cans. I'll update this review if there's more to share.

De prullenbak is erg mooi in het echt en handig. Normale zakken passen goed, zijn ook vast te zetten. Deksel is heel makkelijk open te zetten. Ik ben heel tevreden met mijn aankoop.

Si presenta esattamente come nelle foto illustrative; è in acciaio spazzolato ed il design è molto bello che si adatta ottimamente ad ogni ambiente. La forma è stretta e alta; il pedale che solleva il coperchio è ben fatto e con un meccanismo che appare molto solido e ben funzionale. Il coperchio può essere aperto con il pedale stesso oppure manualmente, in entrambi i casi la sua richiusura avviene in modo rallentato, soft, senza farlo sbattere e senza rumori. Al suo interno vi è il cestino in plastica, facile da estrarre per collocarvi il sacco, che sarà nascosto alla vista una volta rimontato e richiuso. Dopo alcuni mesi di utilizzo direi che è bello e ben fatto; meccanismo fluido che non si è mai inceppato. Una piccola nota per lo spessore della lamiera, che risulta un po' sottile e facile da "ammaccare" con eventuali urti. Riassumendo direi che il prodotto è ottimo, ben realizzato e di buona qualità, soddisfatto dell'acquisto, lo consiglio...

Muy contenta con esta compra se ve muy bien es practico y tiene cierre lento lo recomiendo bastante me encanto , buen material , su capacidad es ideal !!

Este cubo de basura me ha dado un resultado buenísimo. Es bonito, el recubrimiento es sólido, y el sistema de apertura de la tapa es fiable. Lo único es que hay que llevar cuidado porque se raya con facilidad. En el momento que se rompa me compraré otro igual.
