PAC RPK5-GM4102 Double DIN Integrated Installation Kit with HVAC Knobs

I didn’t expect this to be an issue, but after having the PAK professionally installed, the quality of the sound through the speakers changed. The sound becomes distorted as the volume rises above 25. I can’t even listen to it beyond 35, it’s so awful. The functionality of the PAK is fine. No issue with anything but the sound. I’ll be replacing the factory amp to fix the sound issue. Oddly, it wasn’t a problem prior to PAK.

Hello, I purchased the Pacgm4102 unit from Amazon for my 2011 camaro. I paired it with the Pioneer avh4500nex and had it installed at a Best Buy Geek Squad location. I was so happy when I left as it looked amazing as if it was factory. When I left 5 min later I turned up the sound and as one other person mentioned, the sound got distorted and reception was terrible. So I took it back to Geek Squad two more times as the tech said the Pac unit was bad. However,I felt like they did not know what they were doing. The tech said he had never used this pak unit before. So,after doing my home work, I found out the Pac units do not accept the car amplifier in enhanced mode. It needs to be in standard mode. So I took it to another shop and told them what I found and they were already aware of them. Well they fix the issue Geek squad messed up and bam beautiful crystal clear sound. I also installed a amplified antenna adapter as it was recommended. No problem since. Went back to Best Best BuyGeek Squad,spoke with a manager and recieved a full refund of the install. They too said they never installed a Pac unit in a camaro before.smh. So yes the Pac units do work and everything that was factory functions as they should. I recommended purchasing the Pac4102 as it is the lastest version and comes already equipped with the buttons, knobs. Hope this helps the rest of camaro owners like me. Thanks for reading.

The kit fits Perfectly in my 2010 camaro ss after trying two other brands but the lights doesn’t always come on when suppose to but will deal with it cause I don’t really have the energy to take it out and send the item back for a new one but besides that it’s a good buy

2 years ago I purchased a gm4101. Just a year over the 1 year manufacturer warranty the HVAC in my car stopped working as well as the heated seats. I was told it was a manufacturer issue but since it was out of warranty I would have to purchase a new updated gm4102. I purchased the new model, had it installed by Best Buy and three months later my HVAC system is not cooling again. I called Pac Audio and the tell me I need to reinstall my OEM stereo system (which I no longer have) to diagnose that it's the gm4102 and not the car. My car is a 2014, it's garage kept with less than 14,000 miles on it. I now have to take it back to Best Buy to have them diagnose it. Best Buy cannot get me in for at least 3 weeks so I'm without air conditioning in Florida for at least until then. They will most likely have to order another gm4102 and I will have to set up another appointment which will push it back to a month and a half. Do yourself a favor and find an alternative The Pac Audio looks great and functions well when it's working but if you have issues with it it's a nightmare to deal with.

Stopped working after 6 months

The quality of this is awful . The heated seats button keep falling out onto my car floorboard. I would return this but Best Buy has already installed it. I have no idea how to keep the seat buttons from falling out.
