Great product! Great soft carrying case that looks like it will hold up pretty well. Extremely easy to setup. I can tell it will last for quite awhile and I travel with my equipment a lot.I bought it for studio product lighting and portraits. I do a lot of video during my shoots so it works perfectly with my constant light. The hood is great as well and this could definitely take over a main strobed 30”+ octobox and hair light. I’m using only this light now and portraits look beautiful and as dramatic as I want them to or I can shoot quite bright and evenly lit if this is placed overhead and a little on front of the subject (as seen in photos). Pair this with a white vflat and you could rely on this one light only.If you’re wondering if you should get the smaller or larger option. The answer is get the larger one. It wasn’t available when I needed this light and I’m happy with this one but NOT if I need to photograph more than one person or a product scene that’s more than a small table top. You could get away with two adults or 1 adult and two children but you’ll want the larger one for multiple people or groups. You could even get away with this light for 3-5 people if you also have a good amount of natural light and/or vflats/white walls. You can also dial your light down and still get a great dramatic look in the dark.I would save up and get the large one for sure! You won’t be disappointed with this.

A great, easy to setup modifier (I’m talking 20 seconds til it’s on your light) for all Bowens mount lights. The only reason I deduct a star is that there’s no easy way to apply a gel without shoving it inside the lantern and taping it, and even then there’s a strong likelihood of there being light bleed of an unwanted color. Changing the color temperature of lights is a necessity to matching your ambient light, especially when you’re using Aputure’s daylight balanced lights and are in a tungsten environment you want to match. All in all, a great product that spreads light pleasantly, I just hope they come out with a Bowens to Bowens mount gel holder to fix this glaring issue.

I originally chose this lantern over the other light dome's because it's so affordable. Now I'm so glad that I didn't buy the light dome at all. This light modifier produces very soft, beautiful light. I've used it on high end commercials, little YouTube videos, and everything in between. You can't go wrong purchasing this!

I'm using this with the Aputure 300d Mark II light and the light quality is fantastic! Great for 360 non directional lighting or using the curtain that comes with it putting the light wherever you need it. Great to use with a wall spreader for over head lighting in scenes.

Setup in seconds. super fast to setup and teardown and super flexible for what you can do with it.

The China ball is an amazing diffuser and really lights up the room. Best purchase ever!

This is a great diffuser for lighting up a group of people in a room or at a table. The light spreads very evenly. I like it a lot with my 120d mark 2 but I absolutely love it with the 300d mark 2. It is a great price and a very nice modifier to add to your arsenal for filming.
