XtremeAmazing Set of 5 HSS NPT Pipe Tap Set 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 Inch

Used them to chase threads on an aluminum intake manifold that had been painted. Worked great and allowed me to install the plugs flush with the surface of the intake instead of sticking out with little thread engagement.

As a custom car builder for the last 20 years, I’ve never been as impressed with a very low cost tool than I have with these. The taps are really high quality, super sharp, cuts clean threads, and the grind is as good as any other well known brand of hss cutting tools I’ve bought. No swarf left in the cutting edge area of the tap like many other cheap taps, which makes it impossible to even attempt to use. (HFT carbon steel taps are literally useless due to this)For the price, I wouldn’t waste my money on the expensive ones. 5 out of 5.

I read tons of reviews before selecting this product.I only needed a 1/2x14 NPT to clean out the corroded remains in my brass tub spout. It worked flawlessly. I lucked out when I chose these taps. No fancy box, just good quality taps. After cutting the crap out of the threads in the spout, it still looks new and sharp!

Works well for chasing existing threads. Quality seems reasonable.

So far, I have only used two sizes and both of them were tapping into PLA plastic. But that's primarily what I bought them for. I expect them to last a good long time for that application.They seem to be machined pretty decent. Virtually no burrs and the edges are quite sharp. They cut clean threads into the plastic.I was a bit disappointed in the packaging. There isn't really any sort of storage other than being wrapped in paper. Not a big deal though as I was able to 3D-print my own holder for them.For now, I am pleased. We'll see what happens if I ever need to use them on something harder.

I was able to use to easily cut new 3/4 inch inside threads on one side of a fitting (bushing) that I needed to adapt to have threads on both ends. The "XtremeAmazing" tap did its job with no problem. It claims to be high speed steel and does seem to be as they claim.

Not the best I've used but actually will thread 304 just fine. Of course, 304 or 316 work harden, and cutting threads gets harder, the 1/2 np survived twice, one on 304 and one on 316. Threads were a little rough, but worked just fine.

Bought this set for chasing threads when I need to. Haven't tried them yet but can't complain for the value. I already have 1/8,1/4, 3/8 NPT taps that work great for years thought it would handy to have the 1/2 & 3/4.They came in nice and clean and are wrapped in oil paper to prevent rust.Happy with the purchase!

Not sharp at all, and there are burrs where they're tappered.Too poor of quality to cut any threads. Complete waste of money.

Was totally shot after the second hole. Used the correct drill size and quality cutting oil and it didn’t last at all. Should’ve bought the better name brands. Seriously let down
