Works great!
This is a great product. I used it to convert a charcoal torpedo grill into a smokehouse. Without it sealed up, just assembled as it normally would be, this gets it up to 200 degrees inside. It was easy to install.. just cut a hole slide it in, punch a circular hole, and put in a single screw. That's it...Make sure that the smoker you put it in has a 16" diameter.

Good replacement element/controller
My Meco smoker finally stopped heating. Rather than buy a new smoker ($250), found replacement parts to keep it working. It was easy to replace: Loosen the one nut and remove heating element. Though, I suspect the controller was the issue, I replaced the entire assembly.
