Mean-looking axe with the power to back up its looks!
Solid axe! I used it to split logs the other day for a couple hours and it held up really well. The edge on it is as sharp as it was when I started and shows no signs of all the work it did. It'll split anything you would expect a 4lb maul to split, which is awesome for an axe with a head that is really meant more for splitting skulls and felling trees!Only issue with it is the haft. It will need to be wedged at the top to give the head a solid fit without any wobbling. Since there is already the rivet holding the head in place, that makes creating a deep enough slot for the wedge a little tricky, but its not that hard. Otherwise the haft is really nice. The curve of the haft helps make it easier to split logs with, and the knob at the base is really helpful and gives extra grip.Other than that, I am very happy with this axe. It splits logs and skulls and will do some solid damage to pretty much anything you swing it at! Its as mean as it looks, and it is a mean looking axe!

This is a BEAST.
I was going to give it 4 stars but as I looked at it...I tried to think of a reason why I would not give it 5 stars. It is a beast,,,I love the balance. It is big yet handles very well. Does not feel heavy at all. Unlike many of the cold steel hawks and axes...this one comes with a nice antiqued blade cover. Hanwei did not just throw in some canvas sheath...NO,,they provided one that matched the antique finish. If cold steel has one...often the customer has to pay extra for it. This makes my 11th Hanwei item with no disappointments. Here is a video I did on it.https://youtu.be/ELp9KBOtEq0

the blade has stayed sharp and the haft seems sturdy. Haven't chopped down any trees
This thing appears to be quite the beast. Very heavy, but well balanced axe. So far, the blade has stayed sharp and the haft seems sturdy. Haven't chopped down any trees, but other cutting tests have proven quite effective. Besides, if it's good enough for Rollo.....right??

Impressive Danish War Axe
This is a very large piece. I was struck by the size of it as I opened the box. It is not the easiest thing to move around. The shaft is quite stout and the head is large though thin compared to a regular wood chopping axe. Makes an excellent display piece. Material quality is quite high unsure about how the pin/security of the head/if it would stand up to heavy use.
