It DOES Fit the Universal-Rundle 4471
When I received the gasket and took it out of the box, I kicked myself for not first checking the dimensions of the original gasket I wanted to replace against the actual dimensions some reviewers were kind enough to post. This is one time I'm glad I neglected to check because if I had, I probably would not have ordered this one as the original had an OD of at least 4 inches - possibly 4 1/8. The outer wall/rim was significantly thicker than this one, as well. And I would still be looking. As many reviewers have already noted, I tried nearly every where else, including local plumbing supply houses - nothing worked. I had my doubts about this one as it when spooned together with the original, it sat nested inside, with room to spare - 1/2" or better diff in diameter. I really didn't have my hopes up and thought it'd be added to my growing collection of tank to bowl gaskets but was happily surprised it worked like a charm the first install!Mind you, there were two of those rubber u-channel spacer/pads on that toilet and I noticed the other toilets in the house had 4 - two on each of the porcelain "ridges". I took some electrical high-voltage putty and made a couple of pads about the same thickness as the originals - as those things were also impossible to find anywhere - to replace the missing two. Also added rubber washers underneath the bowl before the metal washers, so I could torque down without worrying about cracking as much. The builder/subcontractor had neglected that as well.A bit pricey, the gasket, but it was the only one that worked. Worth it.

Seal The Deal
My neighbor and I have the same Universal Rundle toilet, as we both live in the same subdivision, and the builder used them everywhere. The neighbor said he tried to replace his tank to bowl gasket with a "universal fit" type, which leaked, and he ended up replacing the whole toilet. When my bowl area developed a leak I was therefore a bit doubtful, wondering if it was worth bothering with the gasket.I found the Master Plumber "tank-to-bowl washer", part #668145 on Amazon, which indicated it fit Universal Rundle, and it was inexpensive enough that I thought I'd take the chance. I'm very glad I did, because this gasket, along with a new set of tank bolts solved my leak, and the whole job took about an hour.Update Note: I just read a few of the 1 Star reviews, which said the gasket wasn't large enough to fit over the hex nut. I had the same thought when I first looked at mine, that the new gasket was too small , and thought I had been sent the wrong gasket.I decided to try it anyway. I placed the gasket over the male threads and temporarily fit the tank to the bowl, with just a press fit (no tank bolts). I was surprised that when I lifted the tank back off the bowl, the gasket had conformed itself to fit perfectly over the hex shaped nut. It gave a perfect seal, and days later, still no leaks.

Worked fine on my Briggs toilet
I have a Briggs toilet, circa 1990, and gaskets to fit a Briggs specifically are impossible to find. I tried Home Depot, Lowe's, and Menards. Not wanting to get the wrong thing, I turned to Amazon. This is the only gasket that I found that mentions Briggs specifically. The picture of the product looked correct as well, because it had the hexagonal indentation to fit over the hex nut on the toilet. However, in reading the reviews, several mentioned that the picture was in error, and there was no hex indentation, and also that it did not fit correctly. Since I did not see any other alternatives, I figured I'd buy it and take a chance. And no, there is not hex indentation, but it was a perfect fit, and when secured, worked perfectly. Only complaint is that it does not come as a kit, so either use your old screws, or purchase new ones, as I had to do, since my old ones were unusable.

Perfect Fit For My Universal Rundle #4472, Leak Fixed!
I, like many other reviewers, tried all the similar or universal options found at your big blue or orange box retailers, none worked. I bit the bullet and leaked fixed on first try. I was a little nervous as this is just the tank to bowl gasket. The seal on the bottom of my flush valve really could have been replaced as well but I could not find one. So, cleaned it up and rubbed a little silicon plumbers grease on it and everything was fine. One final note, this gasket may appear small compared to your old one, and will not have the hex ring outline in it, but don't worry, your old gasket has stretched out from compression. You want this one to be nice and snug.

Works on Universal Rundle. And the real measurements.
The measurements listed above are for the CARDBOARD BOX the gasket comes in. Nice one guys. The real ones are:Outer diameter 3-1/2 inchesInner diameter 2-1/8 inchesThis fit my Universal Rundle Toilet (model "Atlas" 4471/4474) when nothing at Home Depot/Lowes would. It DOES NOT have the hex indention as the picture shows, but it stretched right over the large nylon hex nut, (and it no doubt has that indentation now). It's a lot more stretchy than the 3 other gaskets I tried. This product page really screwed me up because it listed this as 6.7 inches wide, which is freakin' impossible. After wasting hours trying to track down another gasket elsewhere, I gambled that the listed measurements were wrong and the reviewers who said it worked on their Rundles were right.

Picture does not match description.
This gasket is way over priced and is not as described. A complete fail.

Briggs toilet gasket could not get from Lowes
I tried the universal kit before searching online. Universal did not work at all. This does, π―. 2 day shipping and done. Better than replacing the toilet, although I would mutch rather have a new toilet but that just wasn't in the cards. This is cheaper.

Effective, but "pricey"
I understand that $5.99 is by no means expensive, but I referred to it as being pricey because it is double what I can get at Home Depot. In fact, I would have bought this at Home Depot, but the employee in plumbing told me their sizes would NOT fit my Universal Rundle, so I turned to Amazon. As mentioned, the product stopped my leak and works perfectly, so 4 stars for a 100% mark-up seems fair, given it is just $3.00 price difference.
