Should I have received some fitting instructions with this item?

No instructions, but it is pretty simple. Lots of instructions on the internet

I need to adjust the depth of the top part of my cabinet by 28mm due to the wall being half tiled. Do these come with different depth adjustors?

They will not , in themselves, allow for 28mm of adjustment as they are designed to pull the top part of the cabinet flush with the wall and thus securely fastened. Have a look an the Hafelea Web site as they sell the same product and instructions are on-line.
