Pictures clearly show its was supposed to be a Pierburg, the OEM supplier but the one I received did not have that stamped into the housing. Also the bag it came in said it was manufactured in China. Looks identical to the Pierburg, but little suspicious this is a Chineese knock off. Good news It's installed and working, hopefully it holds up.

I replaced the old diverter valve on my VW CC about a month ago. It worked fine- the CEL went off, mileage increased. Then after about 4 weeks the same symptoms started happening again. - CEL came on and mileage dropped. It seems to me like the valve stopped working. There is no way to contact this seller to request replacement under warranty. Seller - please respond.

As I just installed this, I can't discuss its longevity. It seemed well built and bolted straight in. It functions as it should. If VW provided better clearance, it would have been a 10-minute install. Instead, it took an hour and very cramped fingers.

I purchased a brand new replacement after this item failed a couple weeks after installing only to find out that the photos displayed here on Amazon are clearly photo shopped to represent a real part and it even has the real manufactures name stamped but once compared to a real diverter valve directly from the company it is clearly a fake and most likely why it failed.

Replaced the old part, car got faster, check engine light went away. Recommended.
