Allergy Sufferer
I have been plagued by allergies and asthma attacks since my daughter brought home a puppy about a year ago. I had childhood asthma and suffered terrible bouts of bronchitis but had not had an attack in over 25 years until I began living with a pet in the house. I began sleeping in a sealed room with an air filtration system and actually dreaded 3-day weekends where I would be in the house for 3 days without a break from the pet dander. The doctor put me on advair and that helps alot, but I still have random asthma attacks. I bought the 3M HEPA Mask last week and it is a life changer. Sure, I feel silly walking around with a mask and pink "Princess Leah" filters (Why do they have to be pink?). But the mask has me breathing normal again even after the 3-day Thanksgiving weekend. As soon as I feel my lungs beginning to strain, I put on the mask for a few hours and am able to breathe easy without having to leave the house or lock myself in my sealed room. You may ask, "Why didn't you just get rid of the dog"? Well, she has beautiful brown eyes and I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. I get to play with her alot more now that I have the 3M HEPA Mask. Also, the mask is easy to use, and the straps are very comfortable. The only drawback is the mask tends to stick to your face if you sweat. But hey! Who cares? I can breathe again!

Uncomfortable, but does its job
When I normally do yard work, the dust and pollen I stir up messes me up for days... I'm sneezing, coughing, wheezing and miserable (and making the people around me miserable). I tried those cheap medical-looking face masks and they did nothing, because they didn't seal around my mouth and nose.Did some recent yard work wearing this mask, and stirred up a LOT of dust, weeds, etc. Sometimes my head was in a cloud of dirt, but I couldn't smell the dirt, that was a good sign! And, I didn't even sneeze, wheeze, etc, I wasn't sick! And I could see the dirt that collected on the filters. The mask is a little uncomfortable once you get it tight enough that the pressure test passes. That's okay, I'm suffering through the yard work anyways. I did dock a star though, because the mask moved around on my face and I had to adjust it every 15 minutes or so to maintain the seal. It could use more strapping points to keep it securely in place.Despite the discomfort and annoyance, this mask works!

Good for all-around dusty work
A good reasonably priced dust mask for routine chores. The design and wide cartridges and light weight make it easier to breathe during strenous work than other masks. The trade off is that these cartridges are for particulates ie dustlike particles only. It will not block volatile chemicals of any kind, including odors. As an example, it will keep barn dust out of your lungs but won't necessarily block manure or mildew odor. More expensive masks with charcoal or other chemical cartridges often will, at the expense of cost, weight, breathing restrictions etc.I wish they had more information on sizing. It seems to be a medium, and that fits most peoples faces, although I felt a somewhat larger facepiece would be more comfortable.

Not the most comfortable, but sure works
I periodically deal with bad air quality due to wildfires when I'm out and about. This little thing even stops my allergies in their tracks ... Although it needs to be somewhat uncomfortably tight to make a good seal. Well, it does it's job well, and is great for emergencies otherwise

true life saver
I have severe allergies to tree pollen. Starting to feel asthma coming on is scary. Luckily for this mask I can breathe with no problem. Only problem is I can't seem to go out in public with it on. I know I'll be getting stares and I am self conscious. O well. It's this or asthma attack and E.R. visit. Also, mask is a little uncomfortable which is why I gave it a 4 .

This product works well
I have asthma and am sensitive to dust and solvents after working many years in a paint laboratory. This product works well and helps protect me from many respiratory hazards. It is similar to the OSHA respirator mask I wore for my paint work. I am a small woman and I ordered the MEDIUM size and it works well. You can tell if it fits properly if you can not smell something with a strong smell.

Good respirator.
This respirator works well and is comfortable for long-term use. However, it comes in a plastic bag. I was hoping that it would have a hard plastic case that I could use to store it while it's in my work truck.

great for hay fever
Bought this because hay fever kept me out of my garden and pasture. It works well at filtering pollen and allowing me to breath. Much better than a hospital type mask. Once in a while the exhalation valve gets stuck, but blowing out hard will clear it. Very nice fit around the nose, mouth and chin. As comfortable as it can be and still keep allergens out. I can work in the garden and even in the hay fields without feeling like I'm going to die! Have no idea how it might work to keep out poison gas.
