Works Great for Large Phones
First, this is the second Techmount I have received. I had to frustratingly return the first one because they did not include the standard bolts for my Harley application. With that said, Amazon did a great job of shipping me a second unit immediately with the required bolts. This unit is awesome at holding my Galaxy S10+ with case. This is a large phone and it is held securely on my Harley. It allows me to mount my phone on the right side of the handlebar to connect to my Android Auto USB. Many other cell phone holders do not have this option. As others have stated, the plastic knob to tighten the swivel ball should be made of a stronger material than plastic. However, it is designed to move some if it gets bumped and has not failed, so time will tell on durability. Overall, it's a nice phone holder and does a great job.

Quality & Value
Works and looks as advertised. First trial run = worked fine and no wobbling. Held my phone tightly, no need for the extra rubber band I wrapped it with. I saw similar mounts at rallies, at much higher price. I'm pleased with this one, would recommend to friends.

Solid mount
Regarding a review from Squishy & bad adhesive. I assume it refers to adhesive that holds the rubber pads inside the grippers. Purchased mine in 2021& pads started sliding by end of season. Used a couple dabs of 3M Weatherstrip adhesive on each pad & no problem since. (Now 4/2024). Other than that this is a solid & simple mount. Guys I ride with like them & I recommend. Hope this helps. PS don’t over tighten the swivel nut. You should be able to move your phone with some resistance.

Works Great on Harley Road King
Works very well and I think it looks better than the ones with 4 "fingers". I use a Samsung Note 4 for GPS with an extra thick (a few thousandths over 3/4") battery and case installed. It held it OK on the highway and over bumps etc., but once I accidentally smacked the phone in a parking lot and it fell on the ground. So I shaved a little of the rubber from the phone case and now even if I smack the phone (within reason) it holds solid. I'm sure that virtually all standard size phones and cases would be secure without any modification. When I'm not using GPS I simply unscrew the gripper head and toss it in the saddle bag.

Techmount cell phone gripper for Harleys
After watching many videos and reading product reviews I decided to buy one of these. I ordered it on September 18th 2023 and received it today September 24th. I had watched several installation videos so it was a five minute installation with stellar results. I have a 2012 Harley Tri Glide so I bought the perch mount one that mounts on the control assembly. The perch mount can be used on either right or left side but since my Tri Glide has a reverse control on the left side I had to use the right side. The perch mount has a screw behind the ball so removing the screw and flipping the ball to the other side was a cinch. I have my iphone 11 in a Spigen case which is kinda bulky but the gripper held it tight. The true test will come tomorrow when I go for a ride. I really like this gripper and am happy with my purchase. Update February 22,2024- The gripper is still holding my phone securely. Don’t over tighten the ball swivel You just snug it up so the phone can move if you bump into it. It is now May 12th,2024 and the Techmount phone gripper is still working great!

Loved it until it got loose
I had this mount on my Road King and it was great for about 6 months. I noticed it started getting loose after a few months but not too bad in winter when it was cold. On my last trip when it was over 80 degrees for the first time since winter, I had to straighten it every few minutes until it finally wouldn’t stay up. I had to pull off the highway and put my phone away. I assume the problem is that the ball mount is plastic and it gets stretched and gets more pliable in the Sun and heat. I see no obvious fix, and it’s too bad. I like the mount in every way except the fact that I can’t get it to stay tight, and a twice a year replacement is a bit pricey. I hope this is just a bad unit or that TechMount is going to improve this critical design flaw.
